Stayed here for work for a week, upon arrival the venue looks smart with plenty of parking space, all is clean in the grounds , the hotel and the bar area, my only criticism is the heat off the room and the noise of the revellers outside drinking. The rooms are nice and clean but are way too warm and if you try opening a window the noise from the bar area is too much. There is no housekeeping if you need towels replacing contact the bar. The thing that I thought I would ignore but can’t is the fact that I left my apple phone charger (£55) in the room (it happens that’s why they have a lost property box), when I contacted the hotel I was told they have it, I asked them to hold it for two weeks when I would be back to pick it up, “ok” they said, two weeks later I arrived to pick up the charger to be told they cant find it, somebody has clearly taken it, make of that what you will! The woman who said she would hold the charger presented herself and asked for my phone number as she would check with the other staff content that it would surface, that was 4 weeks ago and nothing, I bought this charger it didn’t come with a phone and as such I am out of pocket. Yes I should have taken it but who hasn’t forgotten items in their room…. as I said, this is why they have lost property boxes, they said they had it and that they would hold onto it…..as I say, make of that what you will. Won’t be staying here again.

Such a lovely place to stay. The rooms are very nicely designed, with everything you need with added extras like lovely biscuits and bath products. Breakfast menu offers great choice and early start if you need it. Good service, great value.

Lovely pub for a get together with old work colleagues. Staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming (may be down to the fact that they were working on the cocktail menu!), and food was excellent. Plenty parking spaces outside and on main road so easy to find.Recommend.

Went for a family meal with the brother in law and his family (4 adults + 4 children). Service was friendly and food was excellent. The food was a little slow in arriving but to be fair the restaurant was very busy. Would recommend and visit again.

Very lovely little pub. We attended for a wedding and on the whole was very lovely and staff helpful. Although what let it down was a handful of staff that were miserable and abrupt. Such a shame for the staff who were very much there to help.

We have had a fab Sunday lunch here today, having got home and still being able to taste the perfectly cooked food on our palates. We both opted for the Gratin Normandie (French onion soup) for starters, wow it's definitely the best we've ever had, rich and delicious! I had beef roast (cooked pink) and it was superb, perfectly cooked and with lovely veg and roast potatoes. Mrs had the roast chicken breast with stuffing and all the trimmings. Two clean plates. The staff here are really attentive and friendly, and the pub itself is lovely inside and out. Many thanks.

Had a great overnight stay at this hotel. Room was very comfortable. Met by Louis who explained everything and made us feel very welcome. Elin went over and above to ensure our experience in the restaurant was a good one. A very engaging and polite member of staff. Thank you.

Beautiful setting, great atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been more attentative and helpful. Very friendly vibe and good food and cocktails. We also stayed the night and the rooms were excellent. Comfortable, stylish and seemed recently refurbished. Slight downside with controlling Aircon in the rooms so that may be an issue in the summer but I would think some fans in the room would eliminate this. Will be staying again next time we're in the area.

Lovely atmosphere at lunch time. Food was excellent and would recommend a visit. Menus change with the seasons so worth checking online before you visit.

This was a large family evening meal. We eat at 6.30 pm to make the food preparation easier for the restaurant and we did preordered our meals. The main meals for four members of our group was very disappointing. The Chicken in the chicken salad was so dry it was inedible. The Trout meal delivered to other members of our group was Salmon and not Trout. The meal was boring and unpleasant. This was an expensive important occasion for us, Complaining at the time was inappropriate but changes need to be made in this restaurant.
