Gate of India in Cheshire West and Chester

Really enjoyed our curry here. In Chester for work and we decided to try find a restaurant last minute - these guys were really accomodating and had a few tables set up whilst we had a drink down the road. The food was great, the prices very good and the decor was just what I wanted! Very traditional Indian restaurant feel.

We had a meal on Tuesday evening it was tasteless. The chicken Bhuna wasn't even spicy or the chicken tika bhuna both very bland the bajis were tasteless too. We would not recommend going give it a miss because will next time we are in Chester ☹

Excellent service, fabulous atmosphere and the food was gorgeous and plentiful. Would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a good Indian meal.

Average not bad. had better... India garden Frodsham is the best curry I've had.

Very quiet on the night only 2 people other than us eating, Monday evening.I ordered chicken madras when it came it was not spicy as you would expect and the chicken was in fact Turkey.I would not recommend this restaurant based on my visit 31st Jan 2022.

The staff are incredibly friendly and the service is great. The ques can be long but that is because it is so popular so just pre-book. The food is phenomenal and the poppadum's always come out warm and fresh as do the delicious naan breads. Highly recommend!

Love this place, all the staff wearing mask, very helpful and giving advice for selection.The food was served and very tasty...I used this restaurant for 30 years and always come away satisfied even calling a taxi to get us home safe...

Visiting Chester for a long weekend. Absolutely amazing food from the pickles down to the sides. Everything beautifully prepared with care. The flavours of each dish were sublime. Quite honestly the best Indian meal I have ever had.

This restaurant was recommended, however it was extremely disappointingFood very bland, never in all the years I have been having chicken tikka main course has it tasted like roast chicken. Being typical British we didn’t complain as food was edible but definitely won’t be going back. Staff friendly and attentive. Tables too close felt like we were having a meal with the 2 gentleman next to us.
