Really bad food. The carvery was dry and overly salted. The Yorkshire puddings were crumbling like a pork scratching. The garlic bread was burnt. The chicken nuggets were plain. The staff were extremely rude. Would never go back. Would not recommend.

When you step through the door you become invisible. Did not seem busy, but staff walked past and ignored us. Stood there for quite a while. Finally, was acknowledged and shown to a table. We got our carvery tickets and went to the the serving point. There were two people in front of us. As I watched the staff member cutting their meat choices I noticed that the beads of sweat on his head was dripping on their plates. Thankfully he decided to wipe his head prior to serving us.Serving staff hygiene practices need to be brushed up a little.

Ordered food as usual everything came out together I asked for a medium steak on a mixed grill which was overcooked ie burnt and well done asked for the steak to be replaced but had no stock left ended up with just a large steak meal but ended up waiting that long I ended up eating on my own as the others had finished. A lot of food and desserts were unavailable due to stock levels but somehow the delivery side was busy with carvery. Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and large play area for the kids and ideal for families on a budget

Carvery was very nice, but it WAY too hot today... looking around lots of people were using the menus to fan themselves... felt like there was no air which made eating our meals uncomfortable....

Came here with my boyfriend for carvery! Always delicious, never disappoints but would highly recommend you NOT to use the app to order. Waiting 25mins for 2 drinks! Not very good.

The meat on the carvery was delicious. The rest was OK. About average for a carvery. The kids sausages and beans were over microwaved and unedible. The staff were lovely but not very efficient. The place was clean with plenty of space. All tables that were being cleared all had food left overs. The massive cake looked amazing but we didn't try any as food wasn't brilliant.

I met a friend for lunch who had driven over from Sheffield and me from wales! Food was really good and beautifully cooked and you wont leave here hungry. My dessert was enough for 4 and at one time i would have demolished it it was that good however diabetes restricted this but i still had a damn good go 😀 The carvery looked excellent and i plan to return asap with my wife and probably a few others. The staff were exceptional and very friendly thank you!

Was a nice place for a bite to eat, but the waiting times was unreal, was told to order on green kings app cause its faster than waiting at the bar so I ordered 2 drink from it took them nearly 30 min to bring over after we went up twice to ask for it! But food was really nice just think when its busy put more staff on, waiters/waitresses was running round.

Generous serving of really good carvery food. Very good prices. Sometimes had to wait for waitress to return to us, but they were busy and covid restrictions obviously had an impact.

Great place to eat on the edge of Ellesmere Port and near junction 8 of the M53. It's open from breakfast to evening meal. It's also a pub, if you just fancy a drink. It has outdoor seating, indoor children's play area and a large carpark.
