Just discovered this amazing pub today! Food was excellent, Great choice and very well presented. Aled our server was both friendly and attentive. Excellent at his job! We will definitely be back!

A crowd of us called in for a drink to finish off a walk with Stockport Ramblers on Saturday. We were made to feel very welcome, seats provided for us all, then most importantly, ( for me! ) the House Red Wine was really good , not a disappointment as so many pubs tend to be. The Beer lovers were very happy to!

Oh my the food here is excellent, the staff are so lovely too. Highly recommend the spiced pork and apple pie, it was truly delicious. Will be back to visit very soon.

Great traditional pub there aren't many left. Sunday lunch is excellent proper home cooked style. Good beer and atmosphere. Friendly staff and great service. Can't fault it

Dull and dark in the bar area... No atmosphere... Just two TV"s on playing news channels... Expensive beer... One of which was as flat as a pancake... Won't be going there again.... Plenty of other nice welcoming pubs in the area to spend my money at......

We've not been for a while so didn't know there had been a change of ownership. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced with a good choice of dishes. Hubby went for the traditional Christmas Dinner while I had a delicious lentil casserole and our son went for the burger. All served by very pleasant, attentive staff with a smile. My favourite ' Dizzy Blonde' beer was perfect and Santa 🎅 was in attendance too. Well done. Keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Mix bag, the main dish where not the best, littered with minor error, under cooked vegetables, Ceaser Salad with Tomatoes, onions, and Pepper, not a classic Ceaser Salad.

Four of us came for an evening meal. This is the sister pub of The Bells at Peaover ( which is also excellent) and we very pleased with the level of service and quality of food. The menu choice was good. We opted for a seafood sharing platter. There were 2 others available, from memory one was meat based whilst the other was vegetable. It was excellent. Sharing for 4 was prehaps a little optimistic but it worked. Just make sure you cut the food down the middle!The mains were well presented and tasted great. They came out hot which is good as nobody really likes cold food. The 2 staff who were working that night were excellent and attentive. They made the meal a nice experience.Would definitely come again.

Food was nice. We wanted dessert but annoyingly when we asked, the guy said they closed the kitchen 10mins earlier. Would have been useful to be told that when they cleared our plates or at any point really. Went on a Sunday at 7pm so must close the kitchen around 8ish. Pleasant staff
