A fantastic dining experience. Service was second to none. I always like to try food I wouldn't normally choose. Well, I wasn't to be disappointed. As well as the 2/3 course fixed priced menu, the specials looked fabulous. However I went with the 3 courses for Β£45. It was all superb. Trout, featherblade of beef and the donut (as it had my favourite rhubarb with it!) I was tempted by the creme brule and had real food envy when a couple of the party had theirs delivered to the table. The wine offerings were good, with the suggested pairings on the menu. A very nice touch of a treat on arrival and also when leaving. Don't be fooled by the not very exciting kerb appeal of the place! It was such a nice change to have plenty of space around you and not rammed together. Definitely will be making the journey over to Hoole again, especially with Chester Station only a 10 min walk away! Also the pre dinner cocktails at Suberbs were amazing.

The seminal establishment of Gary Ushers empire never fails to deliver outstanding neighbourhood bistro fantastically executed food. Superb ambiance, excellent service, quality produce... never had a poor meal here and doubt i ever will.

Outstanding quality restaurant with exceptional service. Would thoroughly recommend the lamb fat potato terrine and the pork belly as they were fabulous. Would love to see some more non-alcoholic beverage choices on the menu but the strawberry lemonade was great. All round a wonderful experience and I hope to visit again.

Small menu but it is seasonal so changes. The food was clearly made with quality ingredients and cooked to perfectly. Service was on point and attentive but not intrusive. The waitress was well informed and knowledgeable which gives a lot of confidence.I was worried about the hype but we're looking forward to going back

Just amazing food and knowledgeable staff. Abs a delightful space. Bold food combinations that stay close to the love of food. Could so easily have fallen into quite a few pretentiousness traps. But sailed well clear of those.

Had the most fabulous lunch here with elderly parents and we were well looked after. Excellent wine list and exciting dishes on the menu. There is a separate vegan menu if you ask for it and the quality is exceptional. The service was friendly and well paced. The only niggle is the Β£10 vegan tax on the Prix Fixe menu. I never understand why vegans are penalised in this way.

My first time here after wanting to go for years and boy was it worth the wait. We chanced a visit at lunch time for my birthday treat. We had the 3 course lunch (Β£40 or 2 courses for Β£35). The sharing sirloin steak was an additional Β£30.It was such high quality and they didn't scrimp on portion sizes either πŸ‘. My dog even benefitted with the bone πŸ–πŸ˜.

Had an amazing lunch, warm atmosphere, felt comfortable and clean. Great service and a very, very reasonably priced lunch considering the quality of ingredients and cooking. Would highly recommend and definitely visit again when back in the area.
