Had the veg Sunday roast and it was very good. Very filling and full of flavour.Always good when one finds a place that can prepare vegetarian dishes properly. Would happily recommend to others and will definitely be going back.

Lovely meal, ate outside, as had our dog, overlooking the canal, beautiful scenery. Very friendly and helpful staff ☺

Interesting building on the old canal basin. Converted into a great pub. Staff are great, friendly and knowledgeable. If they don't know they find out.Food is good and not outrageously priced. Pastas come in two sizes, if you're having a starter might be better with the small. (Which is like a normal plate in some other places).Selection of beers is good too. Huge range of spirits on the bar back. All are reasonably priced.

Can't fault the place on ambiance, decor and food was delicious when it arrived. Also selection of beers and cider is sublime. However, if it's busy as it was on a Saturday, the service slipped to 'very poor' which isn't clear why (plenty of staff empty tables etc) but oddly they seem to prioritize to rather clear empty tables then deal with existing customers meaning once you get your main you're waiting for 40minutes for someone to notice your waving and bring you a desert menu/clear your plates but then told 'kitchen closed 10 mins ago' having waited another 30 for someone to come and take the order (ended up having to get up and ask at the bar) then was brought a bill and was waiting another 30mins only to have to get up and grab someone to then be told 'you can pay it at the bar'.. it was a real shame and does not give you a great experience unfortunately. Would have happily spend a good deal more had the service been more attentive.

One of my favorite restaurants in Chester. Lovely views of the canal, amazing and cozy place and yummy food! Shame they stopped serving pies as they were delicious! I want them back!

·

Incredible place to dine out or just simply to go for drinks, the staff are very nice and helpful, the atmosphere of the inside and outside by the canal make this place outstanding. The food is at a very high standard and the prices are not too expensive. Would highly recommend this place 👍🍻

The food is delicious & the river view is so relaxing, I hope to visit again!

Popped in for a drink on a Friday night. Bouncers on the door said we should really book when I asked them if they had any space indoors. They still let us in but I was a bit befuddled with their comment given all the empty tables available inside on a Friday night (10:30pm).Bar staff were friendly and attentive. Went for a pint of APA, which was very nice. Toilets were clean and the atmosphere in the pub was very laid back, surprisingly.

Fabulous food, reasonably priced, best fish and chips I've had for ages! Staff very friendly, very relaxed atmosphere with great views of the canal, highly recommended, I will definitely visit again 👍

Very nice food and a great atmosphere but unfortunately a little slow service wise, there only seemed to be one server for all the upstairs tables and as such it took a while for everything to get to us. We were also told contradictory information about food service times. Very good food however, everyone enjoyed their mains and starters, good value for money, I had the nachos and then the Caesar salad, both came in huge portions.
