You are never disappointed with choice flavour and presentation... lunch is exceptional

Firstly, the Chef's Table is a great small restaurant with some amazing food, great service, and a perfect atmosphere. I have eaten here twice, the first time (2 years ago) the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. However, the second time was not so amazing. The appetizers were tasty, the starters were good too. However, I ordered the "Hen of the Wood" main, and it was rather unpleasant. The dish was extremely salty, to the point of not being enjoyable.Nonetheless the service was great, and the more of the first visit shines through. A good restaurant.

Wonderful that this gem of a restaurant has re-opened this week. The food was absolutely excellent, and staff lovely, a perfect dining experience.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Lovely intimate atmosphere, friendly staff and outstanding food, which is ridiculous value, especially on the lunch menu. The surf and turf starter and key lime cheesecake were truly exceptional, so much so I had to resist licking the plate clean. I rarely leave reviews but I feel I need to when a place is thoroughly worth shouting about and this place definitely is! Can't wait to return soon, thanks for a wonderful meal!

Lovely menu, attentive staff and so pleased we finally made it to try out the food. It was beautifully cooked and presented. We went at lunch time for the last sitting so was nice and quiet and very good value.

The food is superb, definitely fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. The presentation is what you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. I can't recommend the Chef's table too highly. Thank you for a great evening.

Great dining atmosphere with a good food selection from the set lunch menu.

Very small place with mainly couples, we were a party of seven but they accommodated is well by pushing for sets of tables together. The waitress was very attentive and happy to explain anything on the menu.I started with chicken wings which were okay, not great but perfectly edible.I then went on to duck which was lovely, cooked with a bit of pink as I like it, others had chips with their meals which I tried, they were delicious also.Dessert was a kindly piece of cheesecake which again was fantastic. If it wasn't for the chicken wings I would have scored then five stars, would I go back, yes of course I would.

One of the best places to eat in Chester. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service excellent, while the food itself is fantastic. Not a good choice if you're on a tight budget, but otherwise highly recommended.

Lived up to its reviews, staff were above and beyond the best I've had in a long time with service and the food and wine were fantastic!
