Fabulous stay. We were celebrating a special occasion and very kindly had a free upgrade to a suite. Lovely room very spacious. We visited the spa and had a treatment and dip in the pool and jacuzzi, the spa has everything you need for a relaxing time and a gym if you're that way inclined. We spent the evening in the bar where the very helpful barman Lewis was on hand for all of our needs, a definite credit to the company. Overall a lovely experience. Will definitely stay again.

Our two nights was the highlight of our holiday. The room was huge and amazingly comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, a perfect place for photos. All in all it was a wonderful break.

The hotel is beautiful. We (6 in total) were staying one night after a 50 celebration at the local village hall. My husband and I have stayed here previously, enjoyed our stay and were happy to book again. Unfortunately there was a wedding in progress! I was dismayed that no breakfast could be offered, albeit I had requested breakfast and paid, at the time of booking. The only time available was eight a.m far too early after ia very late night and an hours loss due to clock changes. Surly it is not beyond the managements ability to cater for other guests than just the wedding group? To add insult to injury, we ask when leaving if the cost of breakfast had been deducted from our account, we were told yes it had. Sadly this was not the case, we have had to contact you to request yet again! It is the same thing's that make an enormous differenceSo sad that a very enjoyable stay was inconvenienced in such a manner ? This hotel is without doubt in a perfect location for visits to Chester, the rooms are spacious and beautifully clean . Just a little attention to facilities for guests other than wedding parties would be very helpful!

I’m afraid our experience was not stellar. The service we received prior to arrival was excellent and accommodating but thing quickly fell apart when we arrived. We had to wait in a queue of 20mins for the one individual to check in and show people to their rooms. Our afternoon tea was not prepared and sent to the room as was offered. The kettle in the room was placed in the floor as the lead was not long enough for it to be on any table. The bathroom was tired with missing grout and patchy repair work. When the afternoon tea was requested, it arrived with no cutlery or napkins and there were no tissues in the empty container in the room either. I drew the line at using loo roll.Reaching for the phone to call reception, there is a layer of make-up still on it so instead walked back to reception. While there I noticed another couple handing in used towels they had found in their room and another one of our party having not had their bed prepared.I asked the manager whether they are struggling and said two cleaners had not turned up. I stated all that had gone wrong and said I’d rather not leave a bad review if I can feed it back to him but to my surprise he didn’t seem to care about that. He said he will see what he can do after I suggested that paying over £200 per night for a room should have higher standards. That evening I had to get in touch with reception again because there was constant screaming and swearing coming from the courtyard outside our room. It stopped after I complained but no apology was forthcoming.I expected to have some feedback or apology at check-out but it was a different person and she did not mention anything. After talking to the other guests in our party (we booked 4 rooms for the night) they had experienced issues too. One had a severely cold room with a non functioning radiator. The other had a shower that was too hot and could not be turned down. Dirty carpets. Not enough towels, unmade beds on check-in….I cannot recommend the place, sadly it may once have been lovely but it’s not now.

We had a great room and bathroom both great sizes. The general appearance of the place is that it needs updating looks shabby, the decorating needed more attention to detail. We were at a wedding but the meal was not the best, chicken was very dry on the plus side the dessert was delicious. The wine was poor not to our taste at all but maybe some thought it ok. The breakfast was also mediocre, we don't like the buffet style.

The only good things were that the food was nice and the room was very spacious but it was ridiculously hot and the shower was mouldy. The spa was very basic. We Came across a few rude staff members. We stood waiting to be seen at the bar to order food with no acknowledgement for 15 minutes, the lady behind the bar just kept walking past us. Told the hotel we was there for a birthday and all they did was print a bit of paper that said happy birthday, what an insult why would you bother?

Stayed last night for my daughters 30th birthday, booked in, went the bar service bad, only 1 member of staff, and so expensive, for our evening meal had too wait 25 minutes for our meal, when it came it was warm horrible, went to bed after meal, this morning my daughter said she was up most the night being sick, I said because food was warm. This morning the breakfast at 9am was terrible there was nothing left, and waited 30 minutes for tea and coffee, not enough staff, and terrible service. T he best thing about the place is the pool and hot tub, never again

By far the best hotel I’ve been to in my life, facilities where more than outstanding, very very clean and staff more than helpful. The rooms where amazing which followed suit with the rest of the building and really did feel like a very high 5 star hotel. The pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna where incredibly clean and where really enjoyable. Perfect place to have anything from a work trip hotel to a romantic getaway to a wedding venue! Me and my girlfriend loved the food they served in the very peaceful dining room and it was a perfect end to a perfect day. The basic room (£96) was very spacious and comfortable with a really nice bathroom and a balcony with a really nice view of the sunset. I can’t stress enough that if you’re looking for a hotel in Chester, please choose Crabwall Manor.

Overall was an ok stay. Premises was lovely and grand however the double bed was a twin pushed together in which I kept falling down the middle and rock pillows. The shower was the best part of the room. The service in the restaurant was very slow, waited a good 20 minutes to be asked what dessert we would like and still no one came to the table so we left and went to the bar. With our evening meal package it included a large glass of wine which was very vinegary and the cutlery had food and fingerprints on them at the evening and breakfast. The steaks were very small and fatty. I’m not usually one to write a review but I was a little disappointed due to it being my birthday.

I had a lovely stay here. The choice at afternoon tea and breakfast selection were excellent. The gym and swimming pool spotlessly clean. Staff were polite and friendly and suite large. There is plenty of free parking with nice grounds.
