The Hornsmill at Helsby in Cheshire West and Chester

We came here for our second visit today. The food was outstanding, so compliments to the chef. We were served by Kat , she was lovely, friendly and very attentive. Such a welcoming place and we highly recommend it xx

Absolutely excellent experience from start to finish,Very clean well presented tables, and a very good selection from the menu.Staff are always very polite and very professional.Steak and Ale pie, was really nice 👍🏻Will be visiting again.

Good value with a special lunch deal menu, or a la carte. The food was freshly cooked and well presented; staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

OK, the best thing about this place is_ you can take the dogs!. My wife's meal order got mixed up so we both ended up eating alone. It wasn't a great experience from beginning to end to be honest. Nice venue, seating outside areas are good.

Love it here. Been for Christmas Dinner the past two years, among other occasions for food, and it doesn't disappoint. Quality food, really lovely staff, make accommodations for fussy eating children which is a god send. Also dog friendly which is just an added bonus.

Great food at a reasonable price. I like the fact they do small portions. Staff are lovely and the place itself is clean and well presented.

My grown-up son (who's been before) and I ate here today and now I know why he was so keen to show me this restaurant. Beautiful food, really good portion sizes and an attractive looking place as well. To me, one test of a good quality pub restaurant is the state of their loos - these easily passed that test! They were clean and well maintained, I'm happy to say... 👍😊

My partner and I called today on our way back from north Wales with our dog , we had the Sunday lunch which was brilliant I’m very critical about food couldn’t fault it !! 5 Stars , definitely will be back and will recommend to family and friends , you could also tell it wasn’t chain food straight away !! Also good that you could take your dog into the bar area !!! Staff were fab , and everywhere spotless clean ……

The Sunday Soup was absolutely appallingThis place is usually good but the most disappointing thing was TIM our server.He created a very rushed experience for us, from choosing fromthe menu and having to tell hima few times could we have a few more mins even though we only had thema couple of mins before he first came over, but same on literally as soon as we had finished he was asking if we wanted anything else we said no we are ok, then he was back asking if we were ready for the bill honest it was as if he didn’t want us there which is strange as we have been there loads and loads of times beforewe were told we had the table for 90 mins as they were busy but we were in and gone in 30/35 minsvery disappointing

First time out for a date night meal for over a year and our first time trying the hornsmill. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly staff member. We did ask to be moved to a quieter place to start with as I'm very hard of hearing and struggle to understand what people are saying when its a busier night. she moved us with no problems. Very good service. Considering It was busy, we didnt have to wait long for food and drinks either. We absolutely loved that it's dog friendly too because we are massive animal lovers! All in all we had a great time and will be returning in the future! Thank you
