The Oak Tree in Cheshire West and Chester

Staff was lovely, food was great on our first visit nice warm ,we booked come day after totally different experience had same thing steak special it was cold , no staff came do check back was so busy only 3staff on , my husband complained they didn't charge us, it's nice clean pub, the staff under pressure being short staffed

A must visit restaurant. I am so glad we found this gem in Chester. Amazing food in relaxed surroundings. We stopped to eat twice in our 4 day break. On the first evening we had char grilled hake served with baby potatoes, tomatoes, and broccoli. Healthy and tasty (although I would recommend they add a lemon wedge on the side) My husband had the char grilled steak burger, with a tasty beef dripping gravy 🤤 (it was unreal). Our daughter accompanied us on the second day. We had steak and ale pie, the dressed American Chicken burger accompanied by a burger relish and I ordered the sizzling chicken fajitas which were very flavoursome, and the guacamole was the nicest I have ever tasted. Each time I had the South African merlot malbec - Journeys end. A beautiful wine. I thoroughly recommend a visit

Came in as a family of 6 Monday night after a trip to Chester zoo. We had no booking but we're still seated. It was very busy but a great atmosphere. The manager Holly and another lady were the only two working, they didn't stop but the service didn't suffer at all. We all had two courses. The kids meals came out quicker than the adults which we thought was a great touch. If we are back in Chester again we will certainly stop off. Great value for money and wonderful food. Nice food. A little disappointed I ordered a steak burger but didn't get the choice of how rare I wanted it. The burger was juicy but was well done. The side order was a little expensive for the size. Electric car chargers were charge point and also not the cheapest but overall I was happy. The customer service and atmosphere was the highlight of the visit.

We visited the The Oak Tree on a Sunday for a private friends and family gathering. All of the staff was extremely friendly, polite and looked after us with a smile on their face. The private function area was perfect for that personal quiet get together where you can relax inside or outside in the lovely garden in peace and quiet. The food was amazing that catered for everybody with plenty of choice offered up. Victoria made us all feel very welcome and looked after us without a fuss. Would definitely recommend.

Had a really lovely meal here last night, we ordered stuff that was completely new and it didn't disappoint. Great portion sizes, hot and tasty. Plus it's great value for money. Great service as always. We will definetly be back

We had our baby shower at the Oak Tree yesterday it was absolutely fantastic the staff were all amazing and so helpful,we were given a big section to ourselves with access to a lovely outdoor area. The buffet that was supplied by the kitchen was outstanding value for money and delicious too!Thank you Oak Tree staff for making our day a very enjoyable one, we will be returning very soon 👍👍

Lovely pub, tables spaced out unlike most places your not sat on top of each other! The staff are very friendly. Great menu with decent variety. Good comes pretty quick.At peak times it is necessary to book a table.

We have been to the oak tree many times over the last few months. And the standard of food and service just keeps getting better.Food comes hot and delicious. There's sometimes a bit of a wait but staff keep you informed, are apologetic and we completely understand when this happens. Everyone tries their best. And any food is worth the wait.A special mention to Holly who always seems to be the manager on duty. She treats you like family, is always happy and clearly loves what she does. An asset to yourselves.We will definetly be returning
