The Oaklands Hungry Horse in Cheshire West and Chester

Came today for a family meal, didn't have my 1st option but lovely male waiter/manager was apoligetic. Food came and was lovely, jess served us she was so pleasant and very polite, came over and asked us if everything was ok which it was. Lovely to be served by such a lovely Pleasant young lady. Will definitely be returning again soon

The food was good, but had to wait quite a bit as it was busy but apparently the person took my order got the table number wrong so could have got it sooner. The girl apologised and offered a complementary dessert or drinks. We couldn't make our minds up and as we not started eating, she was going to come back to us. We finished eating and one of the staff took our empty plates but no one came back to us about the complementary dessert or drink. Didn't see the person who offered it, so just we left it. Quite disappointed to get offered it but no one came back to see if we made our minds up. If you get offered it, do it straight away, if making your mind up, you won't get seen to and won't uphold it.

Come for a big breakfast 🥞 or a nice meal and a hot cuppa coffee at 7am every day. Cheers

I stayed here recently and never want to go back. The paint was coming off the walls, there were dirt on the walls, the view from the room was of a dirty roof and the shower was fitted badly so you couldn’t open the door properly without having to move the shower head. The shower was either freezing or scalding hot, every time the bathroom light turned on there was a very noisy fan and the toilet made a loud rumbling sound every hour which woke us up many many times. The walls were so thin I heard people coughing from other rooms in my room. Went downstairs for a pint and it tasted so watery, had some food and it was frozen and reheated I even spat the salad out it was mushy, not at all worth over £10 for one main meal I barely touched it. Would not recommend!!!

Reserved a table online, was seated and had our food within 20 mins of ordering. The food was delicious and very fairly priced. We was served by Ryan who was very friendly, polite and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended; will be coming back again. Thank you

Great location, great room comfy bed only downside no draws for clothes , hung up what we could but had to leave rest of clothes in our suitcases

Amazing service, delicious food, this place has totally turned itself around from how it was prior to lock down, I honestly couldn't believe it today, blew me away!
