Fantastic 2 night stay. Beautiful room and very dog friendly. Really restful break with fabulous food and great views. Such a lovely team of staff. We will definitely be going back.

Arrived Sunday pm for a one night stay. Very busy. Excellent room in barn though smallish. Spectacular views across Cheshire plain. Staff are incredibly helpful, efficient and friendly. Evening meal was reasonable with good table and fast service. Wine list good; a touch on the dear side. Good idea to book your table ASAP.Use satnav to find Inn the first time. Enjoyed stay. Pleasant walks around Inn.

Review for pub only.Fantastic food at an incredibly fair price. The view was also spectacular. We were blessed with great weather the day we went and loved every minute sitting outside. The staff was very proper, polite and friendly. They were very upfront about their 7.5% discretionary charge, which i consider beyond reasonable for the hospitity we received. Will be booking a full stay at the inn next time. This was the highlight of our trip to England.

Excellent pub with cracking food! This is a really excellent spot to come, especially when combined with a walk through the local area on the many B roads, and footpaths. Plenty of space to park (although get there early if having a walk). When the weather is good the views across the Cheshire Plain are spectacular, and there are benches outside to take full advantage. The service was excellent, even though the place seemed pretty busy. I had the Scotch Egg & Picallilly starter (delicious) followed by the Steak and Guinness pie with very chunky chips and cauliflower cheese (delicious again), topped off with the Apple and Rhubarb crumble with custard (lovely). That and three pints of Guinness and the walk beforehand was a lovely way to spend time on a sunny Saturday 🌞👍We booked a table which I would recommend to avoid disappointment. The menu is varied with plenty of choice for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. For four people, each having three courses, and several rounds of drinks, our bill totalled £187, this may seem high, but it was well worth it, for food quality, service, and setting.Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Loved our stay here which was a Christmas present. Our dog was welcomed both in our room and in the restaurant which made our stay worry free. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. Some lovely walks round and about too.

Lovely location overlooking the countryside. The inside of the pub and restaurant very tastefully done out making it rustic and cosy. Our evening meal was very nice. Our room (Delamere) was nice, fairly well priced but is starting to look a bit tired (bathroom sink and floor tiles cracked, screws hanging out of the shaving electric point etc).Aspects that warranted the 3 star rating is that we noticed 3-4 bags of dog poo laid on the ground surrounding the hotel (on the steps and around the outside chairs ans tables) - perhaps it’s a common spot for dog walkers to park up but it doesn’t give a nice impression. Also the breakfast service could do with some improvement- staff seemed a little cold and standoffish and the quality of produce for the breakfast could be better (sausage had a cheap tasting texture).

Aesthetically, the pub is wonderful. We’ve dined here many a time..Unfortunately, the service we received this evening was far from up to standard. Drinks orders taken - drinks never received. Sides ordered - never received. Desserts - very slow to come through. Once we asked for the bill, it was very slow to come through. Food was OK, however was much better pre COVID. Shame really. We understand how difficult it is to get good staff, we must have visited on a bad night which is hopefully a one off.

Lovely Christmas setting with a nice seasonal ambience. The staff are all very polite and attentive.6 of us attended. The food was OK but I personally was disappointed with my beef bouganien which was a little dry and had to ask for more gravy. However it didn't spoil a great family get together and exchanging of presents. Will return again in 2022

The location is stunning overlooking the countryside. Food was great, nice and cosy atmosphere, service was brilliant and the family thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Will be going again next week for our Sunday roast!

Great Sunday lunch, love going to The Pheasant always a warm welcome. I had a goats cheese tart with beetroot to start was served warm and tasted great. Main I had roast sirloin of beef, its great to get Sirloin as the cut and well worth it. Finished with my favorite stick toffee pudding. Food, service and staff was really good. Great place for walks, views and to relax.
