The Ship Inn in Cheshire West and Chester

Great busy pub. Lovely food in the main. Couple of minor points. Probably personal taste but the vegetables were really undercooked, and I like them al dente. Also I do like a courtesy check during the meal, rather than at the end.

Really nice place, we are far from local but booked this in advance as we were staying in Chester.Its dog friendly, has a lovely atmosphere, very knowledgeable staff and most importantly very nice food.6 of us all ordered different meals and they were all very good, i had a 10oz rump which ended up being way better than I expected, would highly recommend. The Steak and ale pie was stated to be the best pie she had ever had, its a proper pie not one of these casserole dish with a puff top, so to marks on the proper pie.The only negative thing we could say was the chunky chips were a little undercooked, still abit powdery and missing a slight crunch.But we could have just got a badly timed batch.Many thanks and we will certainly return.

We booked a room for a family celebration. Every stage of the process was easy. On the day, everything went smoothly; we were looked after superbly; delicious food was served in a timely manner and the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff, helped make our celebration extra special

Stopped for a late lunch. Two of our group had the Sunday roast - one beef, one but roast. Both really enjoyed their meals. Two of our group had the chicken and bacon club Sandwich. Bug butterfly chicken breast with tasty well cooked bacon. Bread should really have been toasted but this wasn't a problem.Nice décor, nice staff, nice food.5 star 🌟

Visited on Mother's day - nice place, allows friendly dogs! Menu was trimmed back with it being bookings only and the fact it was mother's day so little disappointed by that however the meals we chose we really tasty and well presented. The food came in relatively quick time with no complaints. Staff were all helpful and friendly. I will return here to eat from the main menu. 😋

We recently had our 2nd visit to this lovely friendly pub this year. I requested flowers and champagne as it was a special occasion. This was organised no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent, service was the best and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this great pub to anyone. Thanks to all the team.

A great pub near the river Dee! I took my son there during half term and we had two excellent hamburgers for the price of one! The best hamburgers we've had for a long time!

Nice place with generous portions. Well priced pub food and drink and quick service. Very friendly staff who were happy to help as soon as we needed them. Good vegan and vegetarian options as well, more than just one thing to choose from. Great, warm little pub with a lovely atmosphere.
