The Suburbs in Cheshire West and Chester

This could be the best Sunday Dinner in Chester!Without a doubt one of our favourite haunts for Sunday lunch/dinner! We visited again today and were delighted with the service and standard of the food. The portions are HUGE! The kids portions are also outstanding! Can't wait to come back again soon! :-)

Went for mother's day and menu was very small and not much choice for somebody who doesn't eat meat. Only thing on offer was a "cauliflower steak" The bottomless prosecco or mamosas were for if you had a meaty roast dinner! So had the halloumi chips and then left for the chip shop as we were starving. Please next year think of us Non meat eaters, we like a drink too.

Went on Sunday for mothers day. the service was a bit slow but as it was mothers day it was to be expected. The staff were brilliant with the kids and kept checking in on them. Ashlee was superb keeping us informed. when the food arrived it was fantastic and well worth the wait!

Excellent service, we had theThenga Thursday sharer. I loved the sauces and the onion rings especially! House red was lovely and we enjoyed the desserts.

If you want to have a great time with good music, tasty food, nice drinks and fantastic cocktails you must go to The Suburbs in Chester. This a very strong bar with a great mixologist and the cocktail presentation is beautiful, although some of the alcohool is too good to mix. We had such a good time we found ourselves strolling back to it after our first visit. The service is very good making the guests feel that they are really been taken care of, and they are. The environment has interesting decorative touches and with the low lighting and great music, it is a very atmospheric space to spend time and enjoy yourselves. We went to celebrate 30 years of our relationship and ended up feeling 30 years younger.

Shared a superb fish platter with my wife karen, drank 5 great cocktails between us, the young lady who served us was very helpful. We had a great evening out here, highly recommended.

Horrific stay well clear!1 hour to make brunch without any word from the waiters. It turns up with burnt slices of hovis instead of sourdough, burger bun tops instead of muffins, Heinz baked beans instead of chakalaka beans, and co-op guacamole instead of smashed avocado… the audacity of the waiters to plonk that down without any mention in the hope we won’t notice. Pathetic!

Excellent, Excellent, ExcellentI can't speak highly enough of the Suburbs, a wonderful bar whose cocktails cannot be beaten.We had an amazing experience at the venue for my wife's birthday.We did the cocktail masterclass which is hosted in the private bar area upstairs, the class was fantastic & lots of fun.As part of the package you have an arrival drink & a selection of canapes which were delicious.The cherry on the cocktail cake are the staff, just bloody awesome.If you live or are visiting Chester check out suburbs, it won't disappoint.P.S Try Kingdoms Gin

I very much like the Suburbs food is fantastic attentive friendly staff nice decor dog friendly it ticks all my boxes however I had a small meal the other night food as usual fantastic,as I was driving I opted for a coke to drink now here is the disappointing bit don’t know if it came out of a can or bottle or if it was the squirty stuff it was served in a small glass that was topped up the top of the glass with ice cubes a twist of lime and two straws one stuck and the entire coke was gone there was no were near a full can of coke in the glass yes it looked very posh and nice but at £2.65 it was not to put a too finer point to it a rip off Would of expected something like that in the American bar of the savoy but in hoole really if it came out of a can or bottle then it should of been brought to the table for me to top up the glass I have absolutely no issue with food or other drinks ie beer etc but you need to be aware of this

I visited the Suburbs with my wife for the first time since lock down. The service was as impeccable and super welcoming as always! We felt safe at all times and it was clear that they take the measures needed to maximise safety for everyone very seriously. Great chilled out atmosphere, and the food was fabulous! I can't recommend a visit to the Suburbs enough, one of Chester's hidden gems.
