Great atmosphere at night. Beers not brilliant and the toilets aren't the best, but if you're getting a drink at one in the morning, you're generally past caring about stuff like that.

·

·

Great atmosphere fun pub welcoming staff, good homemade food will definitely be going back 👍

The Victoria, was as busy as ever on a Saturday night but, the bar staff were as efficient as ever, with Jason keeping the customers entertained in his usual enthusiastic style. The Victoria is place not to missed on a Friday or Saturday night out.

A really lovely and quaint pub. Very oldy world. Very friendly staff and great food. Glad we found it and will definitely go there again when we next visit Chester from Southampton

·

Great pub in the rows, cosy and friendly atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night and there's was a great collection of 70's/80's and 90's being played which everyone seemed to know the words too. Shame I was only on town for a couple of days as I would definitely have visited a few more times.

We stopped at Victoria before catching a train home. The pub has a lively feeling to it, we enjoyed the interior. We were served big portions of a roasted chicken with vegetables and roasted potatoes. Green beans were slightly undercooked but the broccoli, potatoes and the chicken were mouth watering. Filled us rightfully up. Lovely meal.

My wife's family are from the area, and we came to visit with the kids. Her cousin decided we should have a pub crawl, and I recon it was a great idea.So we are now at stop number..... 5 on my tour across old Chester. Gonna go back to pints, as I'm afraid I'll get punched in the face if I order anything clear here. This is possibly the rougher bar we went too. A little louder, a little more buzzing, people getting more in your space. As a tourist, alone, I wouldn't have been up for this, I don't think. But since I was with a local, all is well. Can't remember what we ordered. My wife's cousin gave me a brief run down of the history of the place, and the owner/manager.And right on time, what I believe is part of the charm of the Vic, the sound system started blasting a "joke" rendition of Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer, but with more salty lyrics. It was funny, but since the whole bar was in on the joke and singing along, I felt like an outsider so just downed my drink instead of trying to keep up.I think this is where we had the most affordable drinks of the night. Definitely a good spot to go if you want to party, because everyone was having a good time!

Lovely old pub. Great little find for our lunch. Recommend the Liver & Bacon or Sausages & Mash. Huge portions at very reasonable prices

This is a good pub although a little more pricey than the other locals around here. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were happy to serve me. They accept cards too which is a bonus. There is a lot of of space here so the pub can accommodate a lot more people than it looks from the outside. The ale selection was also good.
