Lovely place . Great atmosphere. Food lovely and not too expensive and good customer service

Absolutely amazing burgers and top service. Best Guinness in the port. I had the clucking hot stack and my wife had the katsu chicken stack. Both were amazing. The Guinness was top notch aswell. Our waiter was so good throughout our whole experience. He got our table cleared even though we arrived early and was on hand throughout our meal. I didn't catch his name but he had black hair and lot of tattoos. A real gentleman and a credit to the woodland.

Standard pub chain. My mixed grill was excellent Only criticism they had no ice for drinks and certain menu items were unavailable—be helpful if told before ordering. Other than that, it was OK.*Due to the effort of replying and looking back at my criticism, it was unfair to "nit-pick" over ice and lack of items. I'm upping the review to 4stars as was impressed with service and cleanliness of the toilet facilities (important detail for me).

Busy night but staff keep smiling and can't do enough to make you feel welcome. Friendly atmosphere, food was flavourful and piping hot. Staff are very friendly and helpful :) highly recommend

Proper old pub inside, great service and we like the sizzling platters. Only thing that let's it down is the litter in the car park. Might not even be the pubs fault but makes it look tatty. We would still go again

Came for a family meal for valentines night, food was delicious, lovely atmosphere and the service we received was fabulous, David and Nat are perfect hosts who have everything running like clockwork and have obviously rubbed off on their team who are friendly, polite and welcoming, we will definately be back and will be recommending. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Really lovely spacious traditional pub and meals also available good decor attentive staff wish I'd had more time will return for sure top choice of drinks

Had works night out here, Degs was very helpful & friendly went above & beyond. Food was spot on.

Looks alright inside, I had a kebab which was really nice however, the waiting times are disgusting waited near half hour for food in a empty pub?? Then for pudding I got a fancy sort of ice cream but, it's an ice cream at the end of the day waited near 50 mins just for that ridiculous if I'm honest, tool me all of 4 minutes to eat it so if you have the full day time to kill I'd go here but if you're in a slight hurry I wouldn't recommend a visit!!

I never do reviews. But I had to make an effort for this place.This place is Ran like clockwork,staff very friendly and genuinely care. We where made sure our experience here was outstanding.Firstly greeted with a smile as entering the door. Another staff member at the bar just as friendly. Food ordered in no time. Food was very nice. Asked if we wanted desert/coffee. Table wiped clean and to top it off they even brought over another pint each for us to enjoy before we left. Save us getting up!!Pubs I normally go in , just plonk your meal on the table &never see the staff again.Well its not the case in the woodland. More like a resturant level of service.Hope our next visit will be the same.Cheers Mark
