Toby Carvery Hoole Village in Cheshire West and Chester

Good carvery friendly staff, good selection of meats (lamb) due Easter timing, veg's was good and hot, Yorkshire puddings were great light and airy simple good roast dinner what's not to like dessert was awesome too.

To start with at the carvery we were offered Yorkshire puddings that were nothing more than a poor excuse for pancakes, we had to refuse these and the server had to get some fresh ones, I chose Roast beef which turned out to be so chewy it was inedible, the waitress had to change it for Turkey that I didn’t really want.The roast potatoes were not crispy but just soggy.My wife who is a veg lover was very disappointed with the range of vegetables on offer.Overall it was a very disappointing experience and has put us off Toby carverys

Been a few times now and always had a warm welcome from the staff . Andrew (blue) has always been one of our children's favourite. Food always top notch. My daughter has a severe nut allergy and staff have always been accommodating regarding company policy for allergies.

No gluten free gravy or Yorkshire puddings.I was offered vegetarian gravy as the staff thought it was the same thing!Sauces on vegetables made with wheat. So not much for me to eat.Meat pretty bland.Choice of roast potatoes or dripping roast potatoes. Which were just frozen roastoies with dripping poured on after cooking them, which were grim.Carpets filthy.Toilets scruffy.Staff very friendly and welcoming

This Toby was Outstanding! From your Manageress to the other staff to the Chef and servers. Everyone went over and above to help two old Ladies to have THE Best night possible.Never been to Toby Hoole, Chester before, but we will certainly go another night soon. We were soooo looked after.Thankyou Peeps xxxx

It was very busy but the food and service were great. My husband has a gluten allergy and he got a dedicated server and his meal brought to the table.. Fabulous. Nice staff, would recommend.

Lovely staff. And very attentive to those with dietary restrictions (mum is lactose intolerant). The only reason the place doesn't score 5 stars is because the whole place badly needs refurbishment, paint, carpet and exterior showing signs of age which could put off poten customers

Food was very good but we all know it virtually impossible to keep dinners hot let a line warm as ours was and another time most recently we got the impression the manageress was a bit off with us especially as my friend is very wobbly on his legs when she told we had to wait in bar area even when I told about his legs and she abruptly said go outside then and up the ramp when we had already been given a table but she said the tables were booked but the place was half empty, maybe she was having a bad day herself, who knows

I'm a vegetarian. This is a great place and has been one of my favourites for a while. The food is constantly excellent. My only criticism is that staff are often very overworked, which means that you can struggle to get service. I also don't really like it when staff are rushing around.

Staff are friendly and helpful..The Carvery which we had to be honest was average pub food.Very small meat portions for the price served .. As with any Carvery help yourself to as much vegetables as you want.. The infamous Toby Carvery gravy as it was labelled.. Wasn't anything special in my opinion..As I say.. The food is average pub food..OK for the price..The restaurant is pleasant enough.. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere..We had a voucher for money off which is the reason we dined here..Would have felt disappointed if paying the full price...
