Wheatsheaf Inn in Cheshire West and Chester

I visited here with my mum and my daughter who had a very serious dietary requirement. The manager was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us despite being rushed off his feet! Definitely worthwhile the visit whilst we were up to visit the zoo.

I come here regularly. The food is good value and always available at the advertised times and the beer selection is better than most Sizzling pubs in the area with a real ale available and Brewdog Punk IPA.

Regular chain pub with usual menu. Caught them between menu change so took a while to identify an alternative choice. Friendly and bright pub.

The food was awful, the customer service was not good. We waited 1 hour and a half for an awful meal, everything was cold and very unsatisfactory, will never be visiting again.

Cheap. Reasonably quick. Can't recommend the food. Thin leathery steak with a large lump of untrimmed fat and a generous amount of gristle (see picture), burnt onions, soggy onion rings and tiny burnt mushroom. Other dishes also not impressive. Won't be back.

Visited here with friends on 9th Feb 2022 …. Food was delicious & staff were great , so so helpful & friendly . Two of us had carvery & 2 of us had the ‘dirty clicker’ chicken burger . Big shout out to the staff on today Kerry, Tracy, Daz & Aid . Breakfast here is also fab by the way !!!

I was at a company conference at chester zoo, Thursday, 5pm "post work pint". Great pub atmosphere, service, and beer. Only stopped for one but we all felt like staying for another... unfortunately adult life said no. Add it to your list of places to drop by whatever the scenario.

Never had a bad meal there until today! Christmas lunch 3 courses £13.99. Starter mushrooms in batter totally overcooked and hard. Mains- Frozen mixed veg with sprouts rock hard. Soggy yorkshire pud with horrible tasting sausage and swimming in gravy. Roasties really dry. Only nice thing was turkey. Had to wait and hour and a half too. Not good

We have visited this pub on a regular basic over last few weeks and every time been extremely satisfied with our meal and the personal service from all the staff. Would highly recommend the food and the atmosphere. Good food. Fantastic price .lovely staff.
