Amazing food, excellent service and great view. The food was lovely and served hot. Great flavours and taste would highly recomend this place. Its pet friendly too. The local dinners were friendly and chatty too. Nice local pub. Lovely atmosphere. A bit pricey (Extra) but worth the money. Hope this helps. Mother's Day meal with the family. Plenty of parking on site and we were shown immediately to our table despite the pub being very busy. Prompt service with drinks and menus. Took some time for the meals to be served however this was not unexpected owing to how busy the pub was and it was not unpleasantly long. The food was hot, well cooked and large portions. Condiments were supplied quickly when asked for.Responsive when asking for the bill. Great dining experience in a lovely venue. Recommend the 3 meat Sunday roast!

If youre out for a nice country drive or walk in the area then you must call in. The pub offers a warm welcome with a great range of beers and ciders. The food is amazing and i for one will be back.

Absolutely delicious Valentines Dinner …… beef wellington was beautifully cooked and accompanied by perfectly prepared seasonal vegetables and a side serving of rich , red wine sauce …….If you want an evening to remember in a comfortable but stylish country pub you can’t get better than this 😍

We thought lunch was delicious. We haven't been here for many years but we will certainly return soon. A comfortable atmosphere and excellent service added to the pleasure of our visit. Would recommend it.

I have been a customer of The Boars Head for many years however I have just left the venue feeling very angry and upset. We booked a table for two and arrived and ordered a starter and a Main. The food and service was good upto this point. Our table was cleared and we advised our waitress that we would be having desert but just wanted a break in between and then ordered two soft drinks.The waitress said to just let her know when we were ready to order desert. 10 mins later we were advised by the manager that our slot had now expired and were asked to finish our drinks at the bar. I then advised that we were going to order desert and mentioned that we had told the waitress this when she cleared our table. He advised us to order and eat this at the bar.I couldn't believe what I was hearing and I told the manager that we would not worry about desert nor would we finish our drinks and found the entire experience extremely rude. Other patrons sitting next to us who witnessed what happened also agreed and commented on how bad this was.I was planning on taking family and friends to the Boars Head who will be visiting us from overseas in the coming weeks and we usually both come here once a month but we will never be back.I feel that we have been treated terriblely by The Boars Head. We have a choice where we dine and it will not be here ever again. Disgraceful service.

What an absolute delight if a place. Service was outstanding.We came unexpected, was really busy. We know next time to book to secure a place. However a space was found for 5 of us.Food included 3 children’s meals which went down a treat. Southern fried chicken burger and the cheese and onion pie was the adult choices.Both plates were cleared, and by gosh I was so full. Special food was the three times cooked chips, you’d visit many many places before you got as good as they were. Last but not least the onion rings… beautifully fresh with bubbly batter. So full didn’t have room for dessert but there was plenty of choice to be had.Children had brownie and an ice cream which I think looking at the cleared plates was enjoyed by all.Would certainly recommend and we are going to try something else as the menu contains lots of choices. Went in here for something to eat, was asked if we had booked but we hadn't. As there was only 2 of us they found us a table straight away. Food was exceptional and nicely priced. Will definitely be back again. 😊

This place strikes a great balance between a pub and a restaurant. The beer and food were great today, the same as the only other time I've been - a few years ago. £90 ish for lunch mains for 5 and 2 rounds of drinks.

The best meal out I've had in years! The food was excellent and plenty, and you can taste the good quality ingredients. There's a good range of drinks including some very good less-widely-known ales. The staff gave excellent service as well as being friendly and warm! What a great experience, I'll definitely be coming again!
