Fieldfare in Chorley

Had a lovely get together with family on Saturday 19th classic chicken burger doubled up. It was great crispy and fresh, portion size was perfect. Service was superb friendly and quick. Calum looked after grandma, I think she made him blush.

Callum served us and was very helpful and polite. Also the girl serving was lovely too and helped us find a kids menu. Our 1st visit but we will be back to try the carvery v soon! Thankyou for a great experience and we abs loved the kids offer for half term!!

Understandable issues in hospitality (it states this on the door, may have to wait a little longer for food) but with only 2 couples already in for food didn't think it was an issue. If we had been told on ordering food it would be 40 minutes wait we would not of stayed, especially with a 2 year old.I witnessed the young bar person apologise for the wait of food to one of the couples and the lady from the bar returning to their table to see if their food was ok.We received none of this communication from either of them when our food arrived and my wife had to request childs cutlery, to be told 'I will see what I can do' although they have an actual child's play area!The place wasn't busy, 8 customers if that, won't be going back.Food very basic and it isn't cheap but I guess what you pay for......Good customer service costs nothing and goes a long way, be respectful and honest with your customers.

Great food, nice staff

I was interested in the Pub Desk scheme where you can take a desk for working with WiFi and plug sockets, plus access to the lunch menu and up to five drinks for a total of £10 (very good value in my opinion). The staff were really friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and I also stayed for dessert. Definitely a scheme I recommend to university students and people who would otherwise be working from home.

Well I have to say I was disappointed not been here for quiet sometime I used to go regular with the family and we have had many family functions and celebrations there.I visited with my mum and daughter for some lunch I can appreciate that there on a limited menu due to covid however I found the offer difficult to chose from and rather expensive I appreciate its 2for1 however when your being charged £16 for a pasta dish or burger you question is it really 2for1??? I think they just need to charge per meal we were a party of 3 so it mean we had to pay full price for the 3rd meal and receive a free pudding....we only wanted to stop for a quick lunch not a 2 course meal. It doesn't work make your menu priced per meal to prevent these types of issues.For food we had was nice portions OK but when you consider what you paid I would say it isn't good value for money..... The pub itself is decorated nice and I did think the deal where you can reserve a table to work from their with a sandwich and unlimited soft or hot drinks for £10 was a Bargin just do the same with the menu.

The family NYE party was awesome. Great value for money and we had the best time. The DJ was great with the kids & my lb was entertained from start to end.

Always come here with my family and we always receive great customer service. The food is lovely and it's definitely one of our favourite places to go to for a meal.

I couldn’t fault the evening really, we rang and booked at short notice which the staff were more than happy to accommodate. When we arrived we were greeted at the door they asked if we had any dietary requirements and then promptly seated down at a table. Within 5 minutes we had our drinks order taken, we then ordered our food… the starters were incredible and beautifully presented. Then our mains followed soon after our starters…. For a two for one they sure don’t lack quality. We then took our desserts home as we were too full. The staff were wonderfully helpful, polite and friendly… if there was an issue I’m 100% sure that they’d be happy to help in any way they can. I would definitely recommend you go and have a bite to eat if you’re in the area.

Visited at 7.30pm on a Saturday night, we're bored of takeaways and with it being 2 for 1 the price wouldn't be much different.Excellent choice on the menu, classic pub meals with some different twists thrown in.Staff are really helpful and friendly, a nice change compared to some other places with almost mechanical staff.Food was spot on, I rarely order steak out because I'm usually disappointed but thought I'd take a chance and I was actually amazed by how well cooked it was, and had a lot of flavour for a pub steak.The 2 mains came to £18 for both, I would've struggled to cook them at home for less, and when we got the bill I was surprised to see it was only £16 for a sauvignon I would expect to pay £23+ for.After avoiding the place for 5/6 years due to continuous bad experience, I can safely say it's unrecognisable as the same place and we will be returning regularly.
