Wow, what a golf course and facility this is. My first time here today with no real expectations as was playing alone. I arrived and was greeted by the friendly pro shop staff and a member. The practice nets are very welcome to loosen up before the big tee off. As I arrived at the 1st tee another gentleman was there who kindly let me join him for the round. In all the excitement I hit a blinder on the tee off and he must have thought he’s in for a rough time(that soon changed though 😂). By the 8th tee we finally introduced one another and Alan was fantastic with me as he did his best to help me navigate around the course giving me lots of pointers of what to aim for etc. To say we had the weather on our side is an understatement and this certainly made our day well worth it. I can’t thank Alan enough for a great day of golf and he even kindly bought me a drink on the nineteenth to finish off our round. Other notable mentions would be the work the maintenance team are doing from new pathways to a brand new driving range being built. I would totally recommend this course and all it’s amenities and cannot wait to play here again and I’m very much considering taking up membership here. My expectations were really blown away today and that can only be down to the great management behind Duxbury Park

Booked a round of golf for four people for 31st Dec 2021 and a 12pm tee time at a cost of £64, only to be informed on the day that the course was closed due to the amount of rain that had come down the day before making the course unfit and unsafe to play, plus they would be using winter greens and not the proper greens as advertised.I contacted Duxbury Park by phone and asked for my £64 to be refunded to which the reply was "we don`t normally do refunds, we can arrange another date", to which i told him that that was the only available date that i could have played and would like the cost refunded because they had closed the course due to the course being unfit/unsafe and not how it was advertised, to which he replied "well that could take months". He then gave me the email address to write to.It is now Jan 21st 2022 and i still have not received a refund even after several phone calls and several emails (which only one was replied to) sent to them. Absolutely shocking customer service make sure you have the good weather before you book your tee time to avoid disapointment and severe hassle as they do not want to give you your money back when they shut the course due to it being unfit/unsafe or not as advertised. I used to love playing this course every Sunday morning years back but will never book again. Totally unacceptable customer service.

Played at end of January windy no excuses greens are saucer bowls with sliding slope gradients as added bonus .Fairways are tight over hanging trees bring you're cutting gear did I mention hidden blind water ponds no well I let you into a secret before I go it's also long .Not put off well don't be it's tests you're metal can't wait for summer it's a belta of a course.

Great course even in the winter, can't wait for summer, great staff very helpful

decent course cant take that away from them but i am writing this review because of the poor management and lack professionalism of this course. After paying an excess of over £80 for a round of golf we were forced off this course around the 13th hole because it was going "dark" we started our tee time at 3:30 baring in mind you can book until 5:00pm to be told half way around we would need to leave at 6:30 THIS SHOULD BE ON THE WEBSITE !!!! if i am paying for 18 holes i expect to play 18 and not 13 holes with the groundsman following us around for 9-13 this is an absolute joke. I will not be returning to this course

This review could have been so much better. The layout is great, generally the course is tidy and the recent work to install good paths has improved the course. But, £28 on a Friday morning is private club green fees and sadly it does not live up to this sort of comparison. Greens are patchy and pock-marked. Fairways are unevenly cut, doubt anyone ever gets out to sod the many divots. And the pace of play was absolutely shocking - couple of 10 minute waits out there and more than 4 hour round. That sort of thing can be easily forgiven when you've paid £14-£18 on a municipal - not when it's twice the price.

Very nice coirse in nice settings. Quite forgiving fairways on most tees some very tricky holes but overall one the easier courses I think. Nice consistant greens.

28th Oct 2018. Well kept golf course currently in great condition. It's an absolute pleasure to spend an autumn afternoon golfing here. Would recommend this course before 5 other local courses I have played recently (nameless but you can probably guess!)
