This is probably a different experience to most people but we had a really unpleasant experience. It took 55 minutes to get our food (2 sandwiches and a kids sausage with beans) and we weren't offered any sort of apology. My order was missing Crisps and coleslaw and again no apology, in fact the waitress asked to see my plate like I was lying to her. Really dissapointed about the whole experience, wasn't easy trying to keep a hungry 1 year old happy for an hour. Food was well priced, nothing special tasted fine; the barn itself is lovely.Edit: just wanted to add when we were there it wasn't busy at all, it was just like we were forgotten until I had asked where our food was and then food was hurriedly chucked onto the plate.

We visited the cafe and ordered a full breakfast. The service was very quick and the breakfast excellent. Plenty of parking and a great space with a real fire. Also there is a great farm shop stocking local produce next door and high quality butcher. Would recommend.

Really nice place, staff are friendly and polite. I ordered poached egg on brown toast and a pot of tea. The tea was brought out within 10 minutes, but waited another 35 minutes for the food. The eggs were good quality and cooked to perfection, the toast really let it down, cheap wholemeal bread making the dish quite expensive, a better quality bread could be used for the price. I would visit again, but only for drinks. The quality of the food I had and the waiting time really isn't acceptable.

Lovely place. I came to meet friends.Coffee was OK but rather smallStaff were not that friendly. No greating or goodbyes and just not that pleasant during service. Seemed to dislike us. First time we have ever been. I would go back to take a look around but just not fab experience with the cafe but it could be amazing !

What a lovely find! Farm shop very well stocked with seasonal produce and local beers! Upstairs the gifts are beautiful and christmassy at this time of year! The tea room had a good menu and the staff were very attentive! Will be back a recommended

Gorgeous afternoon tea. Really reasonable at £14pp. Its a nice touch to have it with soup and chips. The barn it's self is absolutely gorgeous

Very quirky place. It's a barn conversion into a farm shop and cafe, completely sealed off to one another. With a big new secondary barn for the spa and businesses inside. Car park is all gravel, usually very full, with an overflow the same. Pothole gnomes have setup shop at the entrance, specialising in asteroid storm damage. Go very slow and very steady when in a decent car. The main barn looks.."charming", just don't climb the historic looking stairs, (which are sealed off anyway). The Cafe entrance makes it look like a small single room operation, but it's not. It was queued with too many people last time I was there, so we abandoned it for elsewhere, so it's 4 stars on the basis of old experiences, reputation and balance of probabilities. Whole site feels a bit discombobulated, will re rate once I can get in again.
