The Travellers Rest in Chorley

We went for tea after school and had a lovely cauliflower curry the poppadom was so good 👍 the décor was lovely and the cute pub dog was adorable. They gave my daughter some sweets too x

A lovely pub which myself my partner and our friends visit frequently. The staff are all lovely and nothing is too big of an ask! The burgers and the Sunday roast are always fantastic and we love trying all the of the daily specials!

went on the 2nd Jan 2022the place wasn't that busy when we arrived, and we ended up waiting for what seemed like an eternity for our food to arrive.was told they were out of certain items, only to find other diners were receiving the so called items...i have to say the food was lovely, and the guy who waited on us was great, if you want a nice long relaxing meal then its a great place.

We had a function for 100 people at the Travellers Rest. We were incredibly well looked after during the planning stages and on the day. Food was excellent and there was a very warm welcome. Thanks to all the team

I have just returned from the worst Sunday lunch I've ever had!! Service was extremely slow, meaning we had to wait a long time for meals to be served. When they did arrive the roast potatoes were tough and really required a steak knife to cut them, the Angus roast should have even called Angus fat, In actual fact none of the meals were good (5) when asked how the meals were we registered our disappointment, however we got sorry about that we are very busy. Not our problem !! There was no offer to reduce the cost of the meal. We will never eat there again, there are too many good places in the area. Extremely Disappointed

Had a fantastic meal this afternoon at The Travellers rest! We nipped in on the off chance they had availability! Greeted by extremely friendly staff and bartender. Nothing was too much trouble. The Sunday roast was delicious with everything home cooked! The homemade cauliflower soup extremely tasty! Not rushed at all a real leisurely afternoon enjoying excellent food and service! Never felt like they wanted rid of us! Would highly recommend this establishment! Great Sunday afternoon spent there today!

Really impressed with the staff, very attentive without being over-bearing. Drinks and food came to us quickly despite it being lunch time. Impressed, and will definitely return!

Visited Travellers Rest tonight for the first time. We moved to the area during the pandemic and are making our way round the area, trying all the different pubs/restaurants. This was our first "date night" meal out (child free) for a while, especially since the pandemic / latest lockdown.The staff were really friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious! And it was so great to see them handle the outdoor dining only restrictions so well - we were seated under cover with heaters and there were blankets available too for anyone who wanted them. Amazing service, they have thought of everything and handled this horrible situation so well!Hubby and I both had the 10oz Butchers Steak with triple cooked chips and mixed greens, which was really nice - steak was soft and cooked to our liking. Lovely food and service, we will be back soon!Lovely atmosphere and really nice staff! Drinks kept flowing. It was so nice to feel a bit of normality again! UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND NEW CHEF.Absolute top quality meal at the Travellers Rest for their opening week. Food was top class obviously sourced from quality suppliers.The service was welcoming and staff did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our visit.I would recommend the Fillet Steak, however others in our party had the Beef Wellington and it looked amazing.I will definitely be visiting again.Oh and give their Quale Egg Scotch Egg a go... you won't be disappointed.
