Haven’t been for a while and used to be really good… my go to place for pub food. Been today and it was bad!! My friend ordered her food came within 15 minutes, Brill! But mine wasn’t coming when she mentioned it. No one had any idea about my order… even tho we ordered at the same time on the same phone using the app. Showed them the receipt on my phone. He could clearly see on my phone that it was a separate meal that had been served as a side. He said to give him 5 minutes. He never returned. 45 minutes later my friend went inside and asked a lady behind the bar. 10 minutes later came a lukewarm at the nearest undercooked/microwaved mac&cheese. Safe to say I had a little try of it and wished I’d never. No one came to check on any of the food and even sat there for an hour afterwards. We were completely ignored by the outside staff. Even my friend left half of her food because it tasted like cardboard. Whatever changes have been made at this place are awful decisions. It needs to go back to how it was. I won’t be coming back. Was also told I’d have a refund that never happened 😂😂

Very very positive experience for breakfast this morning. Liam and his great team went above and beyond to make our visit fantastic. Lovely rare steak and chips and full English

Very nice restaurant in new part of Chorley in Buckshaw village. It serves number of different dishes and has also vegan food available too. Photo is of vimto burger. We enjoyed our meal, service was good and area was very clean.

I’ve recently went to the war horse for a family meal and we was greeted in a friendly manner by one of the members of staff. We then sat down and the menu was fairly priced and delivered quickly and efficiently. I had a big plate gammon and it was cooked to perfection will be returning.

Came into the war horse for some food with my family… all in all the food was good. Great experience with the staff. Would definitely recommend if you wanted a chill meal with your family or friends

Visited last week and ordered the burger combo with dirty fries. I loved the sizzle and huge plates. The waiter called zac gave friendly and fast service. Would recommend!

Had a voucher to redeem from an unpleasant experience at another establishment.I'm pleased that one of our favorite eateries has today restored our faith. The staff at the War Horse are always very pleasant and attentive, the food was cooked to perfection and we came away with full tummies. Will definitely return in the near future:)

If you want a great tasting well valued meal, a drink and maybe to watch the footy with a good atmosphere, try here! Menu choices are extensive and a little more unique than the usual "go to" meals you'd see at a similar restaurant.

Dirty fries with yogurt/mint dressing and herb garnish - £3.49. Chicken wing basket - you could either mix n match or to quote from the menu 'spice up as you dare!' We dared the famous Texan One which consisted of fried chicken wings with two sachets of BBQ sauce.
