Ali Taj in Copeland

Just ordered from here the food was nearly cold. The food tasted as if it had been frozen and reheated. A big no no. They had forgotten our poppadoms and was totally unimpressed. Such a shame

A nice takeaway but the tikka massala tasted weirdly sweet but the bhajis were some of the best I've ever had

Gorgeous food. Made quickly to order. No fussed on the onion bhaji, a bit dry. But everything wise was so tasty.

Very unhygienic and no safety regulations in place for COVID. None of the staff wearing masks or any PPE even the people cooking. Would not recommend as i didnt feel safe given the current climate.

There are no good Indian takeaways in Whitehaven.... Nice yes, but nothing anywhere near as good as cities.... Ali taj has always remained best... Mr norwab Ali is a legend. Always pleased to see me

Standard local Indian - one of the nicer places in the area. Atmosphere can be a little damp at times when the restaurant is quiet but would always recommend going in a group rather than dinner-for-two. You get what you pay for!

The one across the road (The Akash) is much better. The food tastes nicer the service is quicker and the owners have a bit of banter about them. Good crack. - Impartial Reviewer

Very rude staff, no welcoming smile. We tried to book table even don't bother to ask you for how many people. Just got reply come back at 10:30 pm very unfriendly service. Restaurant just opposite better
