Breakfast is excellent, the service let's it down. 4 of us were booked and 2 were joining us as walk ins but Helen on the door refused to accommodate us as a party of six. There were obvious solutions (table with menus on) but she could only see problems. 2 left disappointed and unfed, not acceptable in this day an age.

Lovely Sunday roast beef. Crispy roasted potatoes and crispy roasted parsnips. All very tasty.Only one small gripe is that the starter fish goujons need a little salad on the side just to brighten up the plate. Four small goujons and portion of tartar sauce at £5.29 seems a bit overpriced.Waitress gave us lovely service and was very polite. Will be back.

Went to join family who were guests at the hotel. They had asked the hotel the evening before if this was possible and told yes.We arrived, went to check in for breakfast for the 8am table and were told they could not accommodate us.Waste of diesel, and lack of interest in attempting to accommodate us.The previous day they didn't even have the booked table for our guests.

The Brewers Fayre was a terrible experience. The food quality was 1 star and the staff interactions weren't much better. We weren't in a hurry which was good as we waited about 40 minutes to receive our food. That was an issue, but the waitstaff never came back and checked in (even if the food wasn't ready). And even if they were busy that wouldn't have taken much effort, and the waitress we had seemed quite unhappy being at work.Lastly, we were still chewing our last bite of food and she swept in and just took the plates, didn't ask if we were done. We will not visit one of these restaurants again.

Had a cottage pie tonight it was disgusting like sloppy baby food I ask for a spoon to eat it I also ask for a slice of bread that turned up frozen so I asked the server to change it and she put it in the microwave and brought it back warm, I did report the food and bread to the manager BEN as I think you should report a bad experience but he just made it worse he seemed disinterested in my experience and just said he will pass it on i ask him about the bread and he said that's how they do it! If the person who is running the place dosent care how can he lead the team. We always stay at the Premier in when we're working in cumbria which is first class and all there staff are outstanding and can't help you enough and then you meet Ben who couldn't be more unhelpful and a really bad representative we will always stay at the Premier Inn but will find are meals elsewhere!

Breakfast was good , the girls taking care of it all were very pleasant and friendly. Maybe the table tops and the chairs could be less sticky next time.

Burger bun hard like it had been microwaved, not very nice, however got drinks taken off our bills to make up for it, steak and ale pie was nice said hubby but mash wasn't creamy as advertised very dry.

Atomsphere - really nice traditional pub feelingService - 20 mins for a seat (having already booked) another 30 mins to get drinks. Our food arrived after we had been there over an hour but what was the most frustrating was one meal came around 15 mins after the others so by the time we waited ours was on the cold sideFood - the Vegan burger was lovely, however the rest of my families meals let us down, the mixed grill wasn't good especially for the price and the chicken burger was overcooked, we would have mentioned to staff but we had already waited a long time to be servedOutcome - I think I would try it again but maybe a different venue as the main downfall seemed to be shortage of staff hence the wait times.

Negatives:-Dirty un hoovered carpet with fingernails and last weeks dinner soiled on it-cold food (dinner)-Burger tasted like mcdonalds-food presentation wasn't greatPros:-very friendly staff-quick service ( in and out less than 30 mins )-good covid prevention techniques-decent breakfast for costOverall:I would only visit again if I had too, I ate everything I was given only because I was staving. Not something I would go back to in a hurry.

Tonight is an experience that I NEVER wish to happen again. We had a table booked for 6pm. There were 7 of us. We placed our orders at 6.20pm. Unfortuneatly we ordered in 2 groups. At 7.30pm no food had arrived so I returned to the bar and complained. Then the 2nd order arrived. By 8pm I had had enough so returned to the bar, where I was told they had lost our order but the food was being made. When the food arrived mine was stone cold so I asked them to reheat it. It came back and no change. The Manager couldn't apologise enough and eventually he said we would be refunded. The photo shows the food I left after it had (not) been reheated. The only good thing about this experience was the 70 pence they charged for a pint of lime n soda. 1/10 I wasted 3 hours of my life here, never to be repeated again. p.s. I don't even like mushrooms !
