Gosforth Hall Inn in Copeland

Booked into an apartment with some friends. Big rooms with big en suites. Joined together with a communal area between the two rooms. Fantastic set up. The host are brilliant. Really helpful, even when we rocked up after 22.00. It's a stones throw from Skafell.

Have visited for meals here many times over the years. The atmosphere has always been terrific, but felt quite underwhelmed this time when eating in the back bar. Though the infamous pies were not available (disappointing) the food was terrific. Sadly service was patchy and there were several errors in the bill. All sorted at the time so no issues there.....just disappointed.

Great food. Really helpful staff. Dog friendly too. Would recommend

Just had a weekend here the food was excellent and plentifulThe owner and staff are very very friendly and made a big fuss of our dog couldn’t be nicerRooms very clean with large comfy beds would certainly stay again

Good food, nice ambience, and friendly staff. Veggie menu could be a bit more exciting but we visited after storm Arwen & a power cut, so amazing they had anything at all really. Recommended.

This place us lovely, room was lovely, lots of character, bathroom was lovely, very modern shower, staff were lovely and friendly, only small issue, room was cold when we turned up on a cold rainy day in October and with the underfloor heating it took ages to warm up, evening meal (not included in the cost ) was lovely and reasonably priced, however we did think for the cost £160 for the night there would be more choice for breakfast, it was basically little boxes of cereal or cooked breakfast, although saying that the cooked breakfast was lovely if not a bit small for my husbands large appetite, and they did earn extra brownie points for having gluten free bread for me to have toast, all in all lovely and would defo stay again

Had to stay here when stuck because of flooding and so glad my company booked this place. Room was very clean and nice food was delicious and staff very friendly. Would recommend to anyone 👍

Stopped for a drink after a walk with my child. They say they are child friendly but every time my child made a noise we got glared at from behind the bar. Felt the need to drink quickly and get out.

Would definitely recommend this place to stay. We stayed with our cocker and the place was very pet friendly. We had breakfast separate to other guests who did not have pets but with those who did. There is also an area of grass outside which was handy when the pup needed a toilet in the night. Lovely food and service

Beautifully presented beer garden, very easy to park (with plenty of space). The food was exquisite, along with very friendly and helpful staff. In fact, every time your drink got a little low, they came round automatically asking if you wanted another - top service! We loved it so much, we came two evenings in a row!
