King George IV Restaurant in Copeland

Amazing food, great staff and lovely location!

Very small bar area, staff are nice but it's very cramp.

23rd-25th May 2022: having been coming to the village of Boot in Eskdale since 2005, the King George IV traditional coaching inn has had a fair share of visits over the years. Recently taken on by the team at the Bower House Inn, close by, the George hosts a small selection of ales, has a pool table and darts board. Small seating area at the front and a good seating area at the back. Beautiful views all round. A staple pub to visit on any stay in Eskdale, even if just passing through! Excellent location from Fisherground Campsite or The Chalets. Closest Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway station is The Green

A very nice spot for a quick beverage

Lovely staff. Friendly welcome. Couldn't do enough to help. Good beers on tap too 👌

Lovely atmosphere. Made to feel so welcome with lovely beers, great locals and the best ham, egg n chips I've had. Certainly well worth a visit.

Went for Sunday dinner there yesterday and it was the best one I've been for in quite a while Great selection of beers. Very freindly staff.Brilliantly priced food N beer. all round great experience!

Great food and beer , price is good as the food is good quality which counts the most . Location is a natural stopping point for hardknot pass so popular in the valley. Great out door covered area for summer nights and families

From the moment we walked into King George we were made welcome. We ordered two meals, lasagne and ham egg and chips, which were cooked to perfection. It is a lovely country pub and we will be returning.

Warm dry on a very wet evening. Pleasant real ale. Quality mountain days reachable from the pub door..Haven't tried the food.
