Restaurant at Wasdale Head Inn in Copeland

Had dinner after our hike up the mountain. Obvs busy with climbers but this provided a great atmosphere. We ate the pie and pasta, both were amazing. Staff were great, very kindly charged one of our phones for us while we ate!

We have just held our wedding at Wasdale Head Inn on 12th April 2022. Gillian and her team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and made our day perfect. Our guests left happy and full of praise stating that the location was amazing, food was simply delicious, atmosphere delightful. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and our whole experience was perfect. For anyone considering getting married there I would say do it. We loved every minute and our 26 guests were blown away.

Great place to relax, have a beer and a great bite to eat after you've done the walk for the day. Staff always pleasant and helpful. I will be back again in the future.

A vegan died gone to heaven left customer service behind and got greeted with true and honest Gastfreundschaft... you lot up there in the world's best dead end... you made my holiday... thank you for being dog loving, human friendly, vegan friendly (including the vegan mayo)... and for rocking a stressful situation with a smile and a laugh...thank you

After a hard day in the hills this place is great. A great selection of beers, and the food fills you up, if you live and work in London like I do the beer is almost free compared to what you pay in London lol. Service was excellent on both nights I visited. This area is completely devoid of mobile phone and Wi-Fi, but here you can check in with family or work using their Wi-Fi, which is handy.

Superb staff, very friendly. Fire is amazing as is the welcome the dogs get. Packed with atmosphere and good beer. Definitely be returning.

Don't order a sandwich if you only want a snack. The fish finger sandwich should be reported to the trade description. It was three pieces of fish in a ciabatta with real chips a dressed side salad, coleslaw and tarter sauce, only just managed to get it finished....

There are very helpful and friendly staff. As my car broke down some couple working at the bar gave me a lift.We didn’t stay at the hotel but restaurant/bar has tasty meals and nice atmosphere.Also gloves what we left next to fireplace has been posted to us after quick chat on email. Highly recommended!

I want to thank the staff and the local shop owner for their kindness and help after storm Arwen decided to launch a glass topped patio table through the window of my van.This is a wonderful place with very friendly staff, fine food and ales. I will be back when the weather eases off.

Bit disappointing after the favourable reviews and menu on the website. Ordered steak pie and chips (£16!!!) and it was work canteen quality at best, certainly not worth sixteen quid. Nice enough location, but I think they're cashing in on there being no nearby alternative. The meal was certainly edible, just not worth the money.
