Brilliant to see the village pub back in business! Its not the biggest venue in the world but what it lacks in space it makes up for with a warm welcome and a wide variety of drinks and local ale on offer! Really impressed with the food! Catered for our large all age group perfectly last night! πŸ‘Œ 😊 Reccomend a stop!

It's a very nice country pub serving well made tasty meals. Not aiming for a Michelin star, but I thought my food was great.

Pubs looks bigger than it is from front with clean relaxed enviroment. We enjoyed steak and chips as steak was cooked just right as i have it well done and my hubby has it medium rare. Also were reasonably priced deffinately reccommend .

Starting with the positives:Staff were friendly, accomodating and for lack of a better word: nice. Also the food was extremely well presented.I feel a little bad, but the not so positives:The breakfast was grossly overpriced with the pre-cooked, under temperature hot held, over oiled (mushroom), under cooked disappointment leaving me twice in quick succession as one step up from liquid. The table was falling apart and we were unable to sit in the outside garden area due to the flies and pong which resonated from the bin compound.Unfortunately I would not revisit (and couldn't after a review like this), however, my experience may not be representative of the service generally as the garden was full in the evenings when we passed.

First time visit following the refurb and The Royal Oak does not disappoint. Amazing date night with my husband. Fab atmosphere & incredible food. Really great variety of vegetarian food available too - I ordered a truly delicious Halloumi, Carrot and Courgette burger with all the trimmings. Really reasonably priced and had a few drinks in the bar area afterwards. Spent around 3/4 hours in total and had a great night.

Very good vegan food, starters, mains and homemade deserts. We normally have a choice of 1 which invariably is a vegan burger so we were pleasantly surprised. The chef and waiter, who was vegan, were very helpful, so thank you, we will be recommending you.
