Exceeded expectations. Lovely room with amazing sea view and super shower. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were lovely and friendly. Food was excellent, especially breakfast! Lovely location right next to the beautiful beach.

Enjoyed our brief stay the night before we started our Coast to Coast walk. The ladies at the front desk were so helpful! (I was up at the desk about 5 times with questions. 🤣) Our room was perfect, with a separate little room for our son and a beautiful view from our windows.

I went for my birthday week with my husband . The hotel was so clean and tidy and the staff were so friendly. We had few dinners in the hotel and the food was lovely and the prices were reasonable. Our room was clean and had a great view of the beach .... Id defo recommend that if you are in the region pop in and have a pint and a bit to eat or even a wee night stay . I can't fault anything in this hotel and I'd love to go back. You even have a parking permit for the length of time you stay at the hotel.

Lovely room on the top floor with a seaview. The bar has a really good selection of drinks and the food is nice and really decent value.Breakfast is excellent. This has to have been the best value for money hotel I've ever had.

Brilliant hotel set in a quiet location, the beach is literally on the hotel's doorstep which is great. The staff are brilliant, can't do enough for you. The hotel is also dog friendly which is a plus. This is the 3rd time me my wife and our dog have stayed here and it certainly won't be our last!!

went for a Sunday dinner, was quick service and were told the carvery had not long back opened to self service, was quiet inside would love to have had a little backing music, the carvery was beautiful, we've been befor a couple of years back and didn't rate it at all but thought we'd try again and were glad we did as its completely changed. 4 meats to choose from and everything was full of flavour, Nice to see somewhere who had a nice thick gravy too unlike a lot of places we've been. very well priced at £10.95 , safe to say we ate way too much and were stuffed, Will 100% be back

I feel so lucky to find this hotel. It is a real gem.The room itself is very beautiful: nice smell, spotless, lovely fluffy carpet, plenty of new looking furniture, the bathroom is modern and smelling new paint. Nice assortment of coffees, few types of sugars, milk and cookies. Judging the comfort offered by the room, I would give 3 stars, not 2 as advertised.Someone really paid a lot of attention to a lot of details here.Free Wi-Fi and parking, dogs allowed, which is a big + for me.The location is breath taking, surrounded by hills, with the beach at few hundreds yards away.I interacted with a gentleman at the reception and few staff in the restaurant. Very professional, kind and friendly people.Thrilled for my 3 nights staying here!

The Hotel is in a great location, just a stone throw from the lovely beach, the staff are friendly and really helpful, the food and drink are great with big portions, and the breakfast was excellent! What more do you need. The room I stayed in was clean and well presented, and the shower was really powerful, a really great place to stay.

The room was booked verbally on the phone, I requested a twin room with disability access and was assured that would be the case. Well the room was so small I had to put my walking frame away. My mattress was like a trampoline but I did sleep reasonably well. The ‘very’ tiny bathroom had no shower seat or grab rails so I could not have a shower this morning, also there were no alarm cords. There was no hairdryer in the room, you had to go to reception for one. The room it turned out was filthy, cobwebs on the ceiling, dust on all the surfaces especially skirting and door frames. I could not hazard a guess as to what was on the skirting in the bathroom. On the whole the reception and bar areas felt tired as were the entrance to the lift on floor 3. Paintwork was chipped throughout. There were some blankets in the open wardrobe that looked like they had been bundled up and thrown in leaving us wondering as to whether they were clean or just put there after the previous clients. We did get the guy on reception to come up to the room to see what our issues were, he said he would inform housekeeping, I explained I was very disappointed as the room had cost £85 and he said he would go down and sort the bill, I naively thought I might get some discount but oh no. I was presented at reception with my account paid and as I had left my card details on account so we could add drinks and evening meal the full amount? We had explained during check.in that the bill would be halved but no the full amount was taken from my card and the guy said you can sort it between yourselves, and that the receptionist when we checking hadn’t noted it, !!! he was the same same receptionist. The only thing going for this place is the stunning views of St Bees head and Irish Sea, the fabulous sunshine and the sunset over the headland. We will not be returning. This is the only negative review I have ever made.

Big room with clean comfy bed, had sofa and chair. Shower was very modern and spacious. Whole room was massive. Had food at pub attached to it and was lovely. Location is just perfect for beach.
