Poor service.Visited on Sunday for food, arrived with party of 4 at 14.05, stood at door with wait here to be seated for 5 mins to nobody, found our own table in the end and approached the bar and asked for menus, this is now 14.10Bar maid asked her waitress for menu but was ignored and asked a second time, I was handed dirty printed off menus. I took menus to our table and chose food, came back in at 14.15 to be told sorry no food.Sign outside clearly states food served till 14.30 but where turned away as kitchen was now closed.4 paying guests, never again, venue was dirty and grubby so looks like we dodged a bullet and upon speaking to other people they have told me we havePoor service, poor staff, poor management.

Nice traditional country inn serving unchilled ale (yaay!) and decent food at a reasonable prices. Friendly attentive staff. South facing outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Well worth a visit.

We stayed here on the last leg of our walk along the Peddars Way. The food for dinner was lovely and breakfast in the morning was brilliant. The atmosphere in the pub area was good, staff were friendly, and we also stumbled across the weekly pub quiz, which was great fun. The room was nice, the bed was comfy and the bath was a very welcome sight after a long day of walking 🙂 would recommend 👌

This is a gem of a place to stay. The hotel is truly dog friendly, the staff are reallyfriendly, and the food is first rate. Our room was quirky, with a head bumping door to the bathroom, but to be expected in a period building.

Popped in here for a few drinks while holidaying in the area. The staff were excellent and so friendly. So we booked a table to come back for dinner the next night! The same great service and probably the best steak pie we've ever had! A good time had by all and we'll be going back. The dogs enjoyed themselves and all the fuss too!

Booked a table for dinner after finding their website, firstly we was taken all the way to the back of the restaurant where we had to pick up our buggy with our son in to actually get up there. When there were more than enough tables throughout the restaurant, so we was sat in the back on our own which was strange. The menu was not the same as what is on their website, I had cod my partner had steak. My cod was barely edible, all I could do was pick the fish from the inside because the batter was raw on the inside. The garlic bread was just bread. There was no flavour no taste whatsoever and it was laid on some rocket and drizzled with balsamic reduction. It’s a garlic bread keep it that way doesn’t need to be fancy. Won’t be coming back.

Lovely meal the gammon was great as was all the meals we had. Service with a smile, and the bar side allows dogs. All in all a good night.

We had our Ruby wedding anniversary lunch for family and friends here today. From the initial enquiry, through to the lunch itself every thing went well and was made really was easy. The food was excellent, including an almost inexhaustible supply of roast potatoes. However the icing on the cake was the service, unobtrusive but always there, courteous and bang on.It has been a great day, well done and thank you.
