The Pennington Hotel in Copeland

Only had a meal in the restaurant and it was extremely tasty and very good value for money. It was busy which gives you an indication of how good it must be. The decor is modern and enhances the ambience which is a relaxed comfortable atmosphere.

Very pleasant staff , good food , comfortable rooms , reasonable prices. What more do you want.

Just stopped off for a couple of cheeky pints after a long walk with the dog. Both the pooch and myself were made to feel welcome and the beer was clean crisp and refreshing. Definitely what I needed as it was hot out. Will be heading there again the next time in the area.

The hotel is situated on the estuary at Ravenglass. The sun downers are fabulous. There are lots of walks from the door including over Muncaster fell or up Muncaster Castle which is definitely worth spending a day at.The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated, we book an executive double which are quite roomy and have lovely large immaculate bathrooms.The bar has a good range of beers & spirits etc.The food is really good too with quite a large menu.The staff are amazing, all lovely, very friendly and offer great service.We were having a double celebration for our Pearl wedding the week before and my birthday and they must have noticed the cards in our room and decorated a table for dinner for us which was a lovely touch.Love it so much there we have booked another 2 long weekends one in May and another in September.

Really enjoyed our recent stay,at this lovely quite hotel,room very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly .food excellent. Would deffinatly stay here again.

Fabulous place to stop for a drink or two and something to eat if you are in the area. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic. Definitely worth a look.

Food was excellent! Staff pleasant, just don't know why it wasn't busier. It's not Michelin star stuff but good food with a few nice twists.

We’ve just had the most brilliant experience ever today at the Pennington Hotel in Ravenglass !!The service and attention to detail was phenomenal!!A huge shout out and a sincerest Thank You has to go out to Sue who went way beyond the call of duty in accommodating us with all our requests and needs in making our little celebration luncheon such a wonderful success!Our table was so beautifully set by Sue with so such loving care and total attention to detail. A chilled bottle of Prosecco awaited us on arrival, an abundance of quality street sweets scattered all over the table, little beautifully wrapped sweet parcels adorned each setting and a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers completed the picture....We thank Helen, the main Chef for the most delicious food ever! This was indeed a gastronomic delight!!Without a doubt we’d recommend this warm and wonderful hotel to all!We’ll definitely be back.Dave & Lorraine Robbins.

The staff here could not have been more hopeful and were very accommodating with various food requirements. The room was comfortable and the food excellent. I'd definitely stay here again!

Excellent hotel set in the seaside village of Ravenglass, friendly and very efficient staff.The hotel restaurant looks newly decorated and the food was very tasty with very satisfying portions and the staff were very swift and helpful.The hotel also has a very nice and comfortable bar.Breakfast was very enjoyable with a extensive menu and again very helpful staff. An altogether enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of the Lakes.
