Currently (as of April 2022) leaseholders have left and the owners are running it again with limited Thurs-Sun opening and no food except Pizzas on Thursdays. As good or better than ever, seems busier, still good ales and ciders and very friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

This place might not look up to much from the outside but step inside and you are warmly greeted by the staff and a very clean pub. The meal we had was nothing less than outstanding. Best ribeye steak we have had in ages. Everything was imply perfect. Friendly staff and locals. Great beer as well! Highly recommended.

It felt sparse inside, very no-frills. But there was a warm welcome and the food was superb.

Lovely food and really nice welcoming staff....definitely worth a visit!!

The rating is for the atmosphere and friendly staff who make the experience at this traditional country pub. It has a thriving community of regulars. The food is okay and what you would probably expect of a traditional pub. Camping and hungry the food suited us fine.

Gorgeous meal, fantastic staff and nice atmosphere

Nice pub, we had to book in advance, food was very good, staff was friendly and attentive.

After a long day in the sun they sat the 8 of us at short notice and were very welcoming. The food was fantastic and the kids menu was great. All the food was locally sourced and the limited menu felt personal to the chef. Even the children's chicken nuggets were handmade. The portions and the hospitality were both more than generous. Well worth a visit.

Excellent food. Kindly offered to make children's portions of meals for 7 year old and swapped mash for chips for 10 year old. Desserts amazing - sticky toffee pudding to die for. Daughter had an amazing milkshake. Play park on the other side of the road so kids entertained between meals. Just perfect.

Very accommodating. Had reservations at first if this place would be suitable for my two kids. This was put to bed once I messaged the establishment. Was basically told "we will sort you out". This promise was fulfilled. I had a massive steak cooked perfectly as requested med rare. My wife had the same. Son had the same but smaller portion. Then they created a sausage and mash for our daughter from their menu. All left happy and full. If I was in area again soon I would be back. Friendly and tasty food.
