What a lovely place. A sheltered beer garden sets it off wonderfully. The staff are excellent, the food is very tasty and piping hot. I've left the best until last. The Loweswater gold beer is of the very highest quality. Take my advice go on the train. The pub is actually on the platform. Totally brilliant.

A bit of a hidden gem, we'd been to Ravenglass a few years earlier but didn't get as far as the Ratty Arms, we definately missed the jewel in the Crown that year!. We decided to have lunch while we waited for our return train, and to say we weren't dissapointed is an understatement, the food was great, good size portions to the point of feeling very full, we loved our visit so much (via the Dalegarth steam train) that we decided to return a couple of days later by car for an evening meal, again excellent food, the Steak and Guinness pie was outstanding. 5 stars for the Ratty Arms.

Stopped by the Ratty Arms while passing through in the Lake District, having a mochaccino and a slice of carrot cake (they were running a special deal for coffee and cake for £4.95). Both were really nice. 🍰 The staff are also very welcoming and friendly (dog friendly too!)

Great place for a beer and some good food. Staff are great. Asked for advice on the trains and the landlord gave me a train timetable. No TV so people have to talk to each other. Locals are friendly. If I'm back in the area I'll definitely be in for a pint

Extremely accommodating staff gave us a warm welcome and couldn't do more for us. 12 people went for Sunday lunch all food arrived together and hot. We booked ahead and provided a pre-order which helped. Great selection on the menu and really nice coffee. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back myself later in the year.

Excellent pub with great food, friendly staff and excellent location, right next to the railway station. We popped in for a quick coffee on our way back from a hike and after looking at the menu and seeing some of the food served, we knew we wanted to come back for dinner. Managed to book a table for the following day and we're really glad we did. Food was amazing, good size portions, bursting with flavour (especially the mixed seafood salad) and arrived in good time despite that they were busy. We are quite fussy but really couldn't fault it. Thank you!P.s. best to book as pub was quite busy.

Fun place. Lots of menu items and reasonable prices. Ambiance and decor was very nice, server was friendly and efficient. Food was delivered in a reasonable time frame and was plentiful and hearty even by American standards where every portion could feed an army (way too much)!! Enjoyed all the Halloween decoration including the witch that welcomed you at the door by detecting motion and speaking! Funny!
