The Wild Olive in Copeland

We were visiting Whitehaven and our hosts brought us here for an evening meal. As soon as we walked through the door the aroma told me it was going to be good.Our group mostly went for pizzas, which were unmistakably from a pizza oven, had great toppings and were a generous size. If you've gone enthusiastically into starters you will be really struggling to finish one of these.We also had the sea bass on linguine, a bit pricier than the pizzas but well worth it. The creamy leek and chorizo linguine packed enough flavour and size to be a meal in its own right. Sat atop it however was a really generous sea bass fillet with excellent crispy skin.Fortunately for us, we came with folks who knew the portion size! We may have looked tight with the bread sharer for two between four, but if you want some desert after those mains, then it's the best way to go.We opted to share two sticky toffee puds between four, it would have just been gluttonous to have one each. The cake was very light and the sauce the perfect thickness. Great finishThe place itself was smart and the staff friendly, will definitely return

Excellent Italian food! Very nice ambience and good hospitality!

Had a lovely meal at the Wild Olive recently, staff and owners could not have been any more accommodating especially to young children that we also had with us. Food was delicious all cooked to perfection with so much flavour. Highly recommend and very family friendly.

Have heard really good things about this place, called at half eight to get a takeaway pizza and unfortunately they'd "stopped doing them and it was all packed ."Thought half an hour was enough notice but glad they said as I was hoping to pick it up right when the menu on the website says its available and 2 hours before the website say that they close.Still looking forward to trying the food but now know that I need to be alot earlier if I want it, maybe they could update the website.

The food was delicious and good size portions. The staff were also very attentive. Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing pizza! We stayed in hotel opposite and had a takeaway pizza both nights! Staff was really friendly. Place gets booked out quick so need to order in advance. We had potato wedges with our pizza which was served with the most delicious garlic dip! Whenever we will be back in the area we will be definitely getting food from there again.

Fantastic meal as usual. The staff are in the ball with regular service. Food always come in a great amount of time. The atmosphere is good and is a definite place to visit
