Staff friendly. Pub a little scruffy looks like needs a good refurb. Good outside area. Food bog standard unfortunately, not even upto Wetherspoons standard...Adult pie of the day was tiny. The Beehive burger whilst decent size burger did not taste of anything, perhaps some cheese or some sort of sauce on it would help. Not bad enough to complain, but totally underwhelming and overpriced, feel ripped off.Table next to us sent their meals back.Pop in for a drink, don't bother with the food.

Super dog friendly! If you have a fur-baby they will be spoiled here. Fantastic staff, first name terms, warm, friendly, everything a pub should be. Great beers, food and a cracking beer garden. Nothing to not like here, everything you need for a good afternoon, day, night.

Nice little place to have stopped in at with the children as they've got a really good play park for the children in the beer garden. Only complaint would be the incredibly long wait for the food to come out and when it did, the portion I received was tiny. My sons children's burger was bigger than my "adult portion" of lasagne.

Great place for young families as there is a play area for kids, meals are good but nothing on menu for vegetarians the option was veggie sausage or a plate of veg 🤔

Was ok to grab a bight to eat but don't think I would return for food Menu was very small and the food was OK at best, rump steak wasn't the best texture, very fatty and just got stuck in your teeth, think the pub is better for having a drink than food, open fire was a nice touch after a long cold day out.

Please note: This inn has been taken over by new management recently.Myself and a large group had came to dine on New Years day. We had booked and preorder are meals a day in advance. The building and decor itself was rather nice with a lit coal and log fire. There front of the place by the bar was empty, where we would be seated. The back was quite busy with most tables taken. Expected for the new years. However, it would all go down hill. Our meals would take around 2-3 hours to arrive, with a group member receiving his desert before his main. And two others receiving there starters after there mains. On a postive note the meals where very nice, I had the chicken burger whitch was splendid. The desert I had was the brownie whitch was fantastic.Additionally the staff was very friendly and extremely apologetic for the wait. Giving the deserts for free and refunding the late main.Hopefully the new management can improve, this place has lots of potential. I would suggest you wait to try it out for a while. But if your intreasted the meals and staff are very good.

Very nice with friendly staff. Sadly 3 of the 4 of us eating were happy with the food - sadly my burger was quite raw in the middle - shame as the properly cooked bits were very nice. Also the time waiting for food was too long 😫. On the plus side it was dog friendly. Good for people wanting to enjoy their Sunday lunch after a good walk with their dogs.

Great little pub. Food was decent and the beer was pretty good too. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Will be back when passing through again, thank you!

No organisation when going through the door ie order at the bar, take a seat we'll be with you in a moment. Waiting staff are young and not very confident which leads to vague interaction which is not an ideal quality when working in the customer service industry. Adults food was over priced compared to the quality not bad but just not worth it was about on par with weatherspoons but a burger and some overcooked chips with some frozen fries mixed among it but that won't cost you 12quid there. The kids meals were absolutely shocking £6.50 for 3 frozen chicken strips and a handful of frozen fries. Courtesy from waiting staff usually entails asking a few minutes after food has been served to check everything is OK and if there is anything else you need this never happened and it really needed to. Some issues could have been resolved there and then but rather the waiting staff preferred to be hanging around the bar area including what I presumed to be some sort of manager in a suit. The female Facilities had been trashed by some female members of the travelling community with broken toilet seats, sanitary pads and toilet paper having been strewn all over the gaff, which doesn't help genuine travellers reputation. The car park is like a building site and lines all over the place with no common sense applied to how multiple cars could possibly park in nearby spaces at the same time.

An hour and a half for food service when there's NO-ONE else in the place eating. Waiter didn't write down our order and guessed at our food when he arrived in the kitchen. I ate alone whilst my hubby waited for his to be corrected. By the time it was re-done we didn't have the heart / energy / time to tell him it was wrong yet again ! My sides of fries were vile.. see pic. Bits of fish and sweet potato mixed into my side of fries if you can call them that!. I sent my drink back as that was wrong and he brought another wrong one out for me. So disappointing.Hubby said his burger was nice... absolute laughable disgraceful experience. Gutted. This place should be bursting at the seams with customers but there's just us outside after 2 people left without food. They were waiting for a ploughman's.. not sure what happened but we were offered a ploughman's earlier by the same waiter. Carcrash! Don't bother
