Went to Cha Cha before a night out in Amsterdam and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. Great location and great staff. Their menu is extensive with many different alcohol options. One staff member in particular was a joy to be around! Until next time Cha Cha...

One of my favourite spots in the city, great food, drinks and location. The service is great, the British waitress is very friendly and attentive.

Two stars for a cozy place and quick service.Overall, not satisfied with the experience. Here is why: I ordered the “12 O’clock” (mainly because this is the only dish that includes soup). More specifically, the dish includes a tomato soup and two slices of bread with croquettes.According to this place, a tomato soup is just a heated up ketchup, which was served in a small sauce bowl… what a joke! Was not expecting this for €11,50.

The service was super friendly, but the food was not the real one! We had pulled chicken with fries. The food was cold talso the fries!

·

The staff is super friendly and inviting. The food was fantastic and I will definitely return next time I visit. They are happy to help you find the local hangouts and places outside of tourism!

Extremely mediocre food. Expensive prices. Our waiter was kind, though. With so many delicious places to eat in Amsterdam, you can do much better than here.

Everything was great! The staff was very friendly and our food was delivered quickly! We had the pulled chicken burger and club chicken sandwich and the quantity was good as can be seen in the photo! Would come again!

I needed a place to held a meetup in Amsterdam and I am so pleased to have held it here! The owner is a sweet person, friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time on the second floor with delicious food and quality alcohol as well as tasty cocktails made by a barman, who's enthusiastic about his job. I loved the time I spent there and would definitely come back as soon as I am in Amsterdam again :))

A serious decline in food quality and menu choice! Having had a brilliant meal in Terpentijn in March 2016, myself and my husband were really looking forward to revisiting last weekend. Sadly the menu and feel of this restaurant has totally changed and we were thoroughly disappointed with our experience. We ordered chicken wings for a starter, I ordered Kapsalon and my husband ordered the Bavette for main courses. 30 minutes after ordering I informed the waiter that we had not yet received our starter. 10 minutes later he arrived out with everything! The Kapsalon consisted of what tasted like pre-cooked slices of chicken with red cheddar melted on top and an assortment of salad leaves drenched in salad dressing. This dish is on the menu for €15 which is not cheap for what is essentially a café salad. The Bavette was extremely tough and came with nothing else but a massive bowl of bearnaise sauce.Service although friendly, was extremely slow and the focus was more on getting drinks served than food out. I told the staff member of our serious disappointment and he mentioned that a change in management had occurred since our last visit. We were charged full price for this meal. In my opinion Terpentijn works as a bar but the food is seriously amateur. 1 Star is for the delicious wine.

We arrived and a few minutes later a waiter came to take our order for drinks, we ordered their home made iceteas ("Orange is the new black" and "its been too long") and we also ordered food immediately as I was very hungry so I wanted the food as fast as possible. We ordered tinner eggs ad norwegians eggs. The iceteas arrived maybe 10-15 min later and the food took 45-60 min. I cant say the exact time as we started playing a game of words to distract ourselves of our hungriness. The iceteas didnt have much taste so definitely not worth €4.25 and after all the wait the food was cold (or idk if its normal to eat cold poached eggs and pulledpork). The food might have tasted so much better if it was warmer. To top it off people that had recently arrived at another table received their food at the same time as us (and they had ordered the same as us). So I'm quite dissapointed with the experience.
