Best meal i have had in yrs home made cooking

Unfortunately we visited for food but the kitchen was closed due to a staff injury. They were very friendly but we moved on to another pub.

A lovely, friendly pub, where we were allowed to park our camper overnight. Good beer and good company, what's not to love?

Walked in for the first time made very welcome great old England Pub at its best Guinness well kept will be back tommorow.

A really welcoming stop after a long drive - parked our camper in the car park overnight and enjoyed perfect Guinness and ‘the best beer’ - full of lovely locals and a very friendly and hospitable landlord - down to earth and basic but if you enjoy the company of decent folk you can’t go wrong 😑

A warm welcome by the landlord to this charming old fashioned pub, the wife and me enjoyed our omelette and chips while the daughter had a cheese burger and chips; no thrills, homely cooked, all reasonably priced and Guinness served at the correct temperature. If you're looking for that new plastic pub chain feel this pubs probably not for you; but if you want a good old fashion pub with a warm welcome good food and drink then stop here.

A real old pub. Everyone welcome, no airs and graces but genuine hospitality. Had a great meal and lovely service here. Dog friendly and good, fresh home cooked food. Staff make you feel very welcome, will be back!!

Excellent and a godsend after a long day on the coast to coast. The camping area was just great and a double bonus was the independent toilet and hot shower. We received a very warm welcome and highly recommend the Crown Inn. Good beer, did not try the food but told it was great by fellow coast to coaster. Excellent value for money!

Mark and Sharon were warm and generous hosts, this is a great stop on the coast to coast route. We stayed in their camping pod which was much more comfortable than our tent.Great chat, good beer and they even sorted me out with a ride to Penrith.Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Lovely pub, highly recommend. Great social distancing. Dog friendly and delicious home cooked food with very generous portions. We had lasagne and beef stew in a Yorkshire pudding, amazing 😁
