We stopped by for lunch and chose to sit outside. We ordered mussels, a salad with baked salmon, and 2 drinks. My husband got his wine right after he had paid at the bar, but a glass of tap water and a nonalcoholic cocktail were never delivered to our table. My husband ended up going back to the bar in like 20 min to get them picked up, albeit there were more than enough waiters to do this. The place was empty inside and half occupied at the terrace. After another 20 min mussels came and they tasted good (the bread that came with them was weirdly sweet though). 15 min later we were delivered the salad with no salmon! Needless to say it took them another 20 min to bake the fish… no apologies, no complimentary drinks or desserts were offered, nothing. All in all the food was good, however, overpriced, but the service wasn’t great in our case.

Superb decor, atmosphere and sea views. Top class

Afternoon tea is just amazing here. The choice of sandwiches and desserts are really great. The Indian Darjeeling tea and the pink rose tea are the best. Lovely ambience overlooking the pool.

We have enjoyed many meals at Cumberland Hotel's Ventana Grand Café over the yearsThe venue's modern decor, table service & delicious food is well presented & consistently of a high standard. Highly recommended.

Ok so the afternoon tea is nice but a little disappointed with portion size i.e. instead of two scones, you only get one per person and considering what you pay (£20pp) it isn't worth it! Also we were given an "appetizer" which we didn't ask for but assumed was a complimentary add on, yet were charged for it on top! There are plenty of places in Bournemouth to go for the same occasion but has more value for money!

The place is self is very nice ..we booked for lunch and a swim £15 each ..food and drinks extra ... it was quite busy but had to wait almost 30 mins for our first order of drinks ..then we waited and waited for someone to give us a menu as there were non around we eventually ordered some food and asked for another order of drinks which we had to ask about some 25 mins later as they still hadn't arrived neither had the food .....when my friend went to ask and complain about the long wait the Very Rude Italian manager?? Told him ""well we are very busy and you should be grateful we are even open after all this time ..he was rude .+ unprofessional and and rather aggressive too ... when you consider that on the day our final bill must have been near to £100 I would think twice about ever going there again . So his attitude has list the me hotel 3 very lucrative customers

Very nice Bar and Restaurant area within the Cumberland Hotel.Didn’t have anything to eat but a very pleasant place to just sit and relax with a drink.

On Monday 25th. November we had my birthday lunch for 13 people. The restaurant is lovely and the food was delicious. Annabelle was looking after our table and she was an absolute delight. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We will definitely come again.

I recommend to visit towards the end of a summer day when the sun is loosing its power but it's still warm enough to sit outside. Tasty dishes, signature cocktails, attentive staff and loads of special offers throughout the year.
