Excellent lunch can recommend the Welsh Rarebit with Bacon and side salad delicious. We saw all sorts of different food coming out all looked morish.

Service extremely quick, polite, it's very much a 'business!' I'd say 7.95 for two slices of bread and 'garnish' - sold as a side salad is a bit pricey

Great food and lovely people, and brilliant views from the garden benches. Fantastic service, can’t fault them! They gave us a takeaway package with all the things we needed too

This is a great place to grab a bite at (ahaha) if you're intending to take a leisurely stroll around Ullswater before or after! We really enjoyed the great service by the staff, as well as the hearty food served here (go for the Welsh Rarebit). The Visitor Centre is just next door (:

This is a must visit cafe. Great food and a good selection, fish and chips, burgers, loaded chips, Welsh rarebit. All cooked to order, quickly and very hot. Staff warm and welcoming, perfect for a visit on a rainy day like we did!

Our family have just enjoyed a lovely evening meal at this restaurant. The food was amazing and they were very accommodating of some of the changes we asked for in the dishes. The service was excellent and fast, especially considering the sign outside apologising that they were short staffed.We’ll definitely visit again next time we holiday in the area.

We had some lovely food after hiking all day. Lady serving us was very nice. Food was so delicious- freshly cooked and I think the Coleslaw Fellbites serves was the best I ever had. Covid safety measures in place, hand sanitizer was provided and place was spotlessly clean. Hope to have this burger again when I visit the Lake District ! I definitely recommend this place
