Lovely friendly staff, great service, food was amazing, rooms were cosy, clean, modern bathroom, tea and coffee stocked ready for morning in bedroom. Would definitely book again, great location the centre of Penrith

First of all, food is absolutely fabulous. We had T-rex platter for 2 and every bit was a delight (compliments to the chef).Secondly, staff is helpful and very friendly, answered to my 10000 questions and been cheerful :)Rooms are clean and comfy, feels like a place you want to be.Thank you for a great eve!

Utterly fantastic. The fish was fresh n light and the flat iron steak was far more than expected. Tasty and tender. Amazing!!

Been so many time and it never lets me down, the non alcoholic cocktails are fabulous!

After paying £160 for the family room for one night with breakfast for two adults, I was still asked to pay an extra £15 for my two kids even though they didn't want breakfast. That's not really fair as I had already payed 20% more than my previous visit with breakfast for all 4 of us.We asked to book a table for later and were told they were too busy, yet when we went past the restaurant upstairs on four separate occasions, there were plenty free tables.Loud music till after midnight from the Foundry, which we can accept as it's a pub, but then lots of noise from drunks outside till after 3am, and you can imagine the language.So rude unwelcoming staff, no consideration for guests with families, and no sleep. Wasted my money. Will never go back.

Had a meal with my husband and son and left very disappointed! First of all my husband ordered his starter and they said that they were out of main ingredient so we changed it.Then my son ordered the southern fried chicken that had so much pepper in it that it was inedible! Spoke to the waiter and had to order a burger instead then the waiter informed us that we still had to pay for the chicken even though my son couldn't eat it! After that the staff just ignored us and even when we went to pay didn't ask how our meal was etc took our money and no goodbye or thank you anything.So disappointing !

Stayed here with my wife about a month ago. Hotel was very good value for money. I come from London and to get a room for 88pound is In the cc is just unheard of. Food was amazing and the chippy next door had the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. I enjoyed Penrith although the locals aren’t too friendly.. think it’s the southern accent

We arrived to the hotel and received a warm welcome.we unpacked in our room and went back down to reception to enquire about eating in the restaurant, we were told that there were no available seats in the restaurant, so we went out to eat, we’ve since found out that this hotel offers room service, so were disappointed that this wasn’t offered to us as an option.We were asked what time we would like breakfast and we chose 7.00am, this worked out well for us, and we went on to plan some events early on the Sunday morning, starting in Glasgow at 9.00amWe woke up and got ready for our breakfast and the hotel was in darkness and all locked up, we couldn’t access the restaurant / reception area, so left the building out of the rear exit to try and enter through the front, and again the building was locked and in complete darkness.We called the 24 hour support number which said its out of service so we called an alternate number where we were cut off twice, we did this from our cell phones as the phone in room 9 doesn’t work, no dial tone.then read on the front of the hotel that breakfast isn’t served until 8.00am on a Sunday. This meant that we had the choice of leaving without our breakfast that we’ve already paid for, or waiting an additional hour in the room for breakfast to start, and cancelling the early plans in Glasgow.when we eventually sat down to breakfast. it was delicious and the team member who served us was very warm and friendly.There’s a small loud generator that’s hooked up to the air conditioning unit in our room, it was so loud that we had to come and get an employee to unplug it, he told us it was faulty and it wasn’t meant to sound that way.There was a hen party taking place in the room next to us, in a function room, needless to say this was loud and not something you’d want to be taking place next to your room when you’re trying to unwind for the evening.There was a storage room opposite room 9 where employees were going to pop the bottles of Champaign, this soon became tedious.

Beautiful little hotel, great location, lovely brekkie. We stayed in a family room, 2 adults and 2 kids. Lovely modern spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Great facilities and a lovely breakfast. Staff were so friendly and helpful. One staff member very kindly saw us walking to our room and noticed we had our leftover takeaway rubbish in our hands, he very kindly took it for us. Lovely service 💞
