Absolutely gorgeous - beautiful setting and perfect for a dog owner! They provide a dog bed and dog towel and bowls 😁😁 nothing was too much trouble and dogs were allowed in the public spaces which helped hugely. Great food and welcome and lovely rooms. Excellent service.

Popped in here for a drink after being out walking. Sadly too early for food, but the lady (manager?) Working was lovely. Warm welcoming, chatty and friendly without being overbearing. really like this pub and never had a bad experience. Just wish it was closer to home.

Booked a meal here tonite. Excellent black pudding and haggis starter.the wife and and i had steak pie.excellent.great service.and a great pint of helles larger.we will be back.

Lovely pub, made to feel very welcome and nice choice of food including vegetarian and vegan options.

Myself and wife and two daughters went here today for lunch and the food was excellent. And the staff was excellent aswell. They where really friendly and the service was fantastic. I was a bit optimistic before going because I had looked at some reviews not all bad in fact there was only a few. But to be honest this is a must place to dine. And the atmosphere was excellent also. So don't go off reviews all the time you need to judge it for yourself

Amazing food, warm and cosy atmosphere, and really friendly staff. We had shared starters and a main meal, so much wonderful food, sadly couldn't fit in a dessert. But they looked amazing, so much so we hope to go back to try those also!

Called in on a Friday afternoon without booking and we were met with a friendly welcome. Sat outside under cover as we had our dogs. Dogs welcome inside as well. Burger & chips arrived quickly and was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Lovely small village pub with a great menu. Staff were friendly and professional and food was excellent.Not cheap so expect to pay around £12-14 for mains, £6-8 for starters, but reasonable if you're prepared to pay for better quality.Facilities very clean and tidy. Small car park across the road. Premises is dog friendly too.

We booked with about 2 hours notice on a Monday in peak season. Had steak and ale pie and chicken and bacon burger. All piping hot and delicious and just what we needed after a long walk. Three waitresses were very busy, but they were all very pleasant throughout. Proper pub food in a great location and reasonably priced. Oh and the extra boat of gravy that comes with the pies was delicious; made with red wine apparently.
