We went there two nights in a row. Wonderful food and service.

Lovely pub and great food friendly staff .And a good choice of drinks.

Fantastic pub and great selection of food. Recomended to go here from the campsite we were at, they were not wrong.

Very tasty food, nicely cooked and presented. We had the belly pork, and chicken wrapped in smoked salmon. The pub is kept clean and well maintained, and is nicely decorated. The staff are welcoming and attentive. We would definitely return when in the locality.

Just had Sunday Lunch, food excellent service welcoming and Friendly and lovely inside. Would highly recommend.xx

Fantastic food and pub. One of the best meals we’ve had while in the UK. Chef is spot on. Everyone was very pleased with their meal and service was excellent.

We stopped (28 May 22). I ordered Windermere beer from the hand pump, I tasted it and told the lady behind the bar that it wasn't right and tasted like end of barrel. She dismissed my complaint said it was a new barrel. Two of our freinds also had some and and also commented that it wasn't right. On hindsight we should have stood our ground and refused it. Won't be going back.

We stayed here as a stay over on our way home from Scotland very last minute. The room was lovely and cosy which a very comfortable bed.Evening meal was very nice and squeezed us in last minute. Breakfast was perfect sizing and very tasty too. We will definitely stay here again!

Terrible meal. £7.00 for 6 squid rings out of the freezer and the spare ribs were over cooked and coated in salt. Inedible! Flat ale, terribly kept. Over all experience was totally underwhelming and expensive. Don’t bother !

We had a lovely stay here. Staff were helpful and could not do enough to help. Room was beautifully clean and looked newly refurbished. Delicious veggie breakfast and evening meal. Thank you for a memorable break and not too far to see Long Meg and her daughters and The Lake District.
