Royal Oak Inn in Eden

We stayed in the cottage and loved it. A young lady with blonde hair who looked after us on arrival, at breakfast and checkout was absolutely brilliant. Thank you for such a warm welcome and for making a difficult visit (we were there for a double funeral) more bearable. I will be back with my family in the future. My late Mum used to be head chef here back in the 90s and it's always been a special place so it was good to finally return.

What an absolute gem! A beautiful pub with top notch rooms in an historic town.The staff couldn't have i more helpful! Definitely 10/10Not my first visit to Appleby but I'll definitely return here 👍💪✅

Stopped here for a bite to eat and some drinks. Sat outside overlooking the lambs in the field across the road. Beautiful setting! Great food and local ales. Excellent and friendly service. Would highly recommended.

Staying local to the Royal Oak. The 3 female members of staff we had dealings with today were very friendly and helpful. The steak meal one of us had was cooked to perfection. Look forward to re visiting.

We had a 2 night stay, stayed in room 6. It was lovely the bed was so comfortable, we had evening meal on both nights and both where excellent. Breakfast was lovely, would recommend the eggs benedict 😋. We will definitely be back. The staff were lovely

On the site it states kitchen open till 2.30.have been often on way back. 21st Feb arrived at 2.15 and told kitchen closed nothing available not even a bowel of soup! Asked when kitchen closes and told "it depends". Won't be back. Thank goodness we located the crown and cushion which did a fab pub lunch.

Had a superb time management and staff alike all friendly and so helpful, made us and our dog so welcome added to this great food top service and on Saturday night live music by Crazy Little Thing absolutely tremendous stay thank you Cass and Troy thank you so much. The location is a superb location to visit other towns and walks for the dog, this is the most dog friendly stay we have ever had 👍

Literally my favourite place to stay. The pub is absolutely beautifully decorated, traditional and homely. It's comfortable and relaxing. There's a lovely beer garden. The food and drink are amazing, loved the addition of pizzas to the menu. I've stayed here several times for appleby horse fair weekend with my little boy and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are clean tidy comfortable and well stocked.

Lovely place to stay, eat or just grab a drink. The staff are amazing, especially Vicky who went out of her way to be helpful. She made some great recommendations of places to visit and also helped my hubby sort flowers to be delivered for our wedding anniversary ❤

Beautiful place hidden away. We booked to stay the night very last minute on our way to Scotland and we were both so happy when we arrived. We had a private garden room, Perfect for the dog. Comfy bed and lovely en-suite, breakfast was a delight and all for such a reasonable price.
