Lovely little cafe on the top of the moors wonderfully views for miles, caring lovely staff and always meet a few happy chatty truckers in here. No fuel available here it's more of a cafe for a good cooked breakfast or sausage and bacon roll/butty/bun/bap (whatever you call it where your from.) Call in and give them a try. You can access the parking area east or west bound on the A66. Happy eating people.

It was my first stop heading from Glasgow to London. Had a cup of cappuccino, freshened me up for the road ahead. Washroom was clean.

One of my favourite places, for the views alone! Decent food and lovely staff. Parking wasn't too bad either 🚚🤟🏼

Always a tad chilly, but this is made up for with great, reasonably priced food and a great view when you wake up in a morning

Parked overnight , charged £10 had my container broke into other than that quiet site with lovely views

Very bad reviews.On arrival 04-00 pm for overnight stay with refrigerator,There was no warning where to park with the operating refrigerator.I parked next to the road (a66),Not to drive deep into the middle of the parking lot,In order not to disturb the sleep of those who sleep not with refrigerators turned on.10-15 pm wakes me up Strong knocking in the cab(I thought brexit came to uk again).The parking landlord came and told me I couldn't stand here Because when the refrigerator is on, it interferes with him and the drivers standing in the hall.I told him I couldn't take out the fridge and I couldn't take the car elsewhere because I had an 9 hour break.And that when paying for parking there was no indication of where to park with a working refrigerator.He said if I don't turn on the fridge,It will disconnect it.Immediately after that came his wife,said the same,and went off my fridge.as I got out of the cab I turned it on again.And she turned it off again.He said his noise was bothering other drivers,And at the same time her with her husbandBecause they sleep in a house next door that has a cafe.Say I have to pull the car to the farthest corner of the parking lot While there were other trucks sleeping there.I said I can’t move the car that is a break,And I suggested calling the police or my company to make a call.She said she would call, but I wouldn't sleep here anyway Because she turned off the fridge for me.she offered to refund the amount paid to the parking lot in order to leave the parking lot.I had no choice but to grab the car from the farthest dirty and unlit corner.It's very ugly on their part.They were aggressive.I have some videos.I don't think there will be information for refrigerator drivers after that.My English is not very good, but I think you understand what I said.I don’t really find it hard to make a sign on the outside door So that drivers know where they can park with a working refrigerator.In many parking lots this is done.

Transport cafe minus the filth. Spotless clean including toilets. Food wholesome and huge portions. Friendly staff. Prices very reasonable. Small breakfast with coffee 5 quid. I'm not a small guy and the small breakfast was more than enough for me. 7quid to park for night and 10 with a 5Quid food voucher. Parking sadly full of monster size holes. Low light bars and side skirts need watching.

Love this place ☺️ good old fashioned, traditional transport cafe. Just wish it opened 7 days a week, with same hours every day. I'm sure it would do well as Penrith is closed a Saturday night & all day Sunday 😊 friendly staff & good food, lovely views too 🏞️⛰️
