Location excellent, breakfast excellent room very comfortable. Beer and food prices what you would expect in the lake district. However, quality very good. Blue light 20% discount on food.

Visited here twice during our recent weekend away, once in the afternoon and again in the evening. We chose to sit outside and the weather was mixed. If we hadn't sorted the table umbrella it would've taken off and the table scanning service wasn't in order, which meant walking up steep steps to order drinks inside and then carrying them back out.Neither of those things are major enough to dissuade us visiting again as it is a lovely spot and staff were lovely.

Below average pub food at insane prices. £17 for a burger, £28 for a steak, £15 for a salad.Staff and service are good and pub is very nice with a lovely garden, but food prices are just ridiculous, particularly considering the quality of it.Plenty of other places in Bowness which have similar prices and much better quality food.

Food and service was excellent. Our waiter Daniel was so pleasant made us feel very welcome. We had steak for dinner, it was one of the best cooked steaks we have had Hopefully we will be back soon. Thank you.

My neighbours and I have met up at the Angel Inn a few times now and find the atmosphere happy and relaxed, the staff really friendly and helpful and the prices of food and drinks decent too. We always book in advance and I'd recommend others to do the same, especially over the summer months.

Another regular for us when we're in Bowness. No pretension just good beers, sensible food and friendly service. A lovely view tops it off. A great place to enjoy a warm evening.

Went here for evening meal for four. Service friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and served promptly. Would definitely recommend.

·

Fantastic meal - lovely veggie (lots of meat options too) options, fantastic service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended. Thank you. Also dog friendly.

·

A couple reasonable ales and lagers. Good menu incurring a couple veggies (no vegan I could see) and good service. Didn't need to book in a Friday in March but worth checking. Priced accordingly for area £££

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, quick service, friendly staff. Child and dog friendly. Roaring fire. Just popped in for lunch and a drink. I had the open Welsh Rarebit sandwich and my husband the Cheese and Apple served in lovely fresh doorstop bread both had a side salad with a dressing. It's wasn't our first visit but will definitely call in again when we're in the area
