The chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding are the best we've ever had. Bangers and mash were solid, though I could barely taste the fish in my fish and chips. Solid selection of lagers.

Really disappointed ☹️ Saw the menu outside had nice hot sandwiches. Purposely went back for dinner time while staying away from home. Apparently that’s the lunch menu only. Assumed I’d misread & actually apologised on the way out!Checked the menu outside…. Turns out no mention of lunch only 😡**Response from the owner felt really condescending. I know pubs in the UK that continue to serve hot sandwiches&chips as part of their evening menus including two of my locals. Maybe you could just label the menus you display outside as lunch &/or evening (as many pubs & restaurants in the UK seem to) as a courtesy to your customers.

My wife & I went for lunch on Saturday 12th of February. We were served by 2 girls who were friendly and helpful. We ordered soup and sausage & mash, this was tasty. When the soup arrived though, this was lukewarm. We told a member of staff, a guy who said this must be a cold bowl! This was a stupid reason as the soup was obviously not warmed up enough. The soup was steaming when it was returned. The owner of the pub asked us if our food was good, we said the soup was too cold, the reply was that it couldn't have been too cold! What about the customer is always right! When the bill arrived, the soup was still on it, and all the drinks, £60 in total. It would've been nice to have the soup taken off the bill. Will not be returning to this pub.

Excellent Sunday roast at The Cross Keys. I had the pork and it was so tasty. The vegetables included white and red cabbage which was nice as you don’t always get the red cabbage. My friends had the beef and veggie roasts and all really enjoyed those too.Desserts were great too, the sticky toffy pudding was also delicious.

Great food. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Landlady/owner in attendance without being intrusive. Good place for parties, indoors. Or outdoors, I understand thy have a big marquee too.

Good location. Heated outdoor area, where we were seated. Waited 40 minutes for our food, and the kids were hungry! Very large portions for the kids. They had sausage, mash and peas. Adults had sandwiches, that weren't particularly great. In my opinion it was overpriced, all things considered.

Lovely little pub, with a nice outside seating area. Parking at the rear also. The staff we're very friendly and good fun. The food we ate was flawless pub fare. I had a perfect handmade pie (minced beef) with delicious mash and green beans. The wife had a goats cheese and red onion chutney pizza, which was perfectly put together.
