The Golden Boat Chinese Takeaway in Eden

Ordered for 6 people and it was delivered to Centre Parcs within an hour. The food came piping hot and it was amazing. Great service for anyone staying in Centre Parcs Penrith. As a regular visitor to Centre Parcs, we Will definitely use the Golden Boat in future.

Excellent customer service! We had phoned another Chinese takeaway in Penrith and their attitude was appalling. When we phoned the Golden Boat, they were extremely helpful and very customer focused. The food was also excellent. If you want a Chinese takeaway these really are the all round best Chinese takeaway in Penrith!

Meal for two was worth every penny, super stuffed and still loads left over tasted amazing thank you. Delivery driver was very friendly :)

A really great Chinese. First one we've found that doesn't make us feel funny the next day. Good food, good portions, fair price.

Salt & pepper chips & chicken come as just plain chips & chicken covered in a ton of salt. All food we ordered was pretty flavourless & very overpriced for what you got. One of the worst chinese takeaways I've ever had. Would definitely not recommend. Only positive was the lady on the phone who took our order was nice.

Disgusting. Waited 2 hours for a delivery. Only to be called saying they had ran out off egg fried rice. Customer service was horrible. Multiple phone calls enquiring as to my order status. A complete waste of time. I had to cancel my order, then they offered me £7 off to complete my order. By this stage it was 2.5 hours since I placed my order . Avoid this place unless you want your order delivered in time for breakfast.

Me and my partner travelled 160 miles from home and decided to have chinese before going home. I love food, i certainly love Chinese and im not dissapointed with this store. The portions - oh myyyyyy, perfect for someone who wants to go full out, i definitely will have a good leftover breakfast tomorrow haha.Chicken balls may have been a little on the small side to what im used to but the taste made up for it.If we travel through or to Penrith again we will sure come back. The staff was super lovely.

Fantastic food, never had a bad one and good value. The only negative would be the time you wait, even if ordered for a time.

Not a bad Chinese. Staff are lovely. There was quite a wait on the food (we collected) but the staff were very apologetic. The meals were ok. Chicken spring rolls and salt and pepper wings were amazing. Chilli and garlic was rather tasteless and we asked for salt and pepper chips but got plain which after a 30 minute wait was very frustrating. Would return again though

Haven't been to the golden boat for quite a while but whilst our local was closed in Appleby decided to give it a try again. All excellent with and excellent golden boat starters and LOTS of food. Intact had we known that we were going to get this much food we wouldn't have ordered mains. For what we managed to eat of the mains all was good but not sure I like the idea of the rice/chips been included in the price as we could quite easily have had one portion of rice less. Maybe 1 rice and one chips is the way to go if 2 of you are eating.
