Just had a lovely couple of nights stay here. Ample parking, great food and friendly staff. The room was spotless and lovely. Even though it is an inn the bar closes at 10pm so it was very quiet. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in this beautiful part of the country.

Miserable staff and out of control. Booked table in advance but made no difference. Sent one meal back. Admittedly got a refund, but no apology and very much "that's just the way it goes round here". Highly disappointed! Will not return. Advise you go elsewhere. Looks good, but is far from it.

Really nice inn which made for a very satisfactory stay. Very friendly and welcoming staff, good choice of drinks at the bar, perfect pub food menu and good breakfast. Not ideal if you have a lot of luggage and a top floor room but that’s a minor issue. Parking is a big plus.

Food was too die for. Went twice on our one week stay and wasn't disappointed on either occasion. Food, service and beer were all excellent. I highly recommend the black pudding starter, steak and ale pie and the bridge burger. Definitely recommend.

Not very often do I give somewhere 5 stars, but that is simply due to the fact that the outside of the Inn which looks like something straight out of a Clint Eastwood film.I half expected swinging saloon doors and people being removed from the premises. Or maybe have John Wayne behind the bar. Talking about injuns in between telling people to drink their milk.Alas not to be but the fish and chips was very nice. As was the service along with the most important ingredient of all - what's that?Well the beer of course which was called Trooper. Because the singer from my favourite band, got in touch with Robinson's brewery about creating a beer called Trooper.Named after a song that Iron Maiden wrote which was very loosely based on the Charge of the Light Brigade during the battle of Balaclava in the Crimean war. When the British and the French joined together to boot the Russians out of Crimea. Sound familiar!!??!!??

We enjoyed a lovely three course meal here. Everything was very tasty and cooked perfectly. My partners pie was literally stuffed to the max with meat. Would definitely recommend and eat again if we return to Ullswater in the future. Thank you for being so friendly.

Stayed here for two nights, and I would happily stay again. Rooms were very nice, food was amazing (if very filling!), and the staff were the most accommodating you could hope for.I would happily recommend Pooley Bridge Inn and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Nothing to dislike or criticise about this place. Friendly staff, good food (inc great big breakfast) at good prices with lovely comfy and clean rooms. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Went in for a meal on the 30th of December. Service was really fast and polite, seating us quickly and asking us if we were ready to order. Our meals were out really quickly and they were 100% spot on! We would definitely recommend the fish and chips or pie 😍 payed all contactless and on our way, all done and dusted with efficiency and politeness 💜

Mixed Feelings. Some things very good others not so. Lovely room. Spotlessly clean. Nice friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. The bad things, had pre-booked dinner but there was no table available. The restaurant is just a pub bar and mostly burgers etc. There is a proper (limited) restaurant menu but it was slightly disappointing. Overall good value for money and if you like pub grub this is the perfect place.
